Running Rob Burrow marathon in May.

After a slog, i'll want either a rate good curry wi beers or a rate good steak wi red wine.

Any recommendations?

You can get Beer and Curry at Prashad, restaurant set next to  Drighlington traffic lights. Not particularly cheap, not particularly dear:, but a genuine experience ... as featured on the telly.

NB: Unlike most "Indian restaurants" in Yorkshire, this a genuine Indian restaurant. It serves only vegetarian food. The Barat on Great Horton Road in Bradford is the only true Indian restaurant that I know in the city to serve non-Halal meat.

Prashad looks solid, but we'll need something more Citi Centre.

Bundobust is a good shout think it’s vegi again and possibly run by the same people who run the one already mentioned. 
 

a go to pre gig spot for me always have a good range of beers on and the food hasn’t disappointed yet.

If you don't want to book, Akbars on the Headrow has always been a good shout. The family naans they do are taller than a small child!

Conversely Nawaab nearer the train station is where most of the Indian sub continent cricket teams go when they play at Headingley.

Ciao Bella Italian just over the bridge was good value.

Tharvadu right next to Bundobust on Mill Hill is top notch. Southern Indian so a little different from your run of the mill curry house. Bundobust is awesome though, especially with a top selection of beer.

Bengan Brassarie by the Merrion Centre is worth a look.

A couple of good reviews in the papers fairly recently for Kino (Middle Eastern, 34 New Briggate) and Wen’s (Chinese, 72-74 North Street).

Also, if it's still open, The Owl in Kirkgate Market.
