Lets hope the new or returning fans enjoyed it and want to return

Just make sure they are encouraged to come to Hornets on 20 August, the penultimate league game.

You know they are always welcome, but I suspect it will not be free!!  You may need to win to secure the top slot, or home advantage v Hornets.😂

Looking forward to todays games.

today will show us that we are 3 or 4 players short of competing at the top table of this division, but I’ve enjoyed watching the group so far this season with the brand of rugby they have been playing, I will keep stay behind them no matter of the result today, good luck yeds.

Dewsbury to win by 14-20 points, hope I’m wrong

You are wrong

Awesome effort from our lads again, I’ve said a few times now I really enjoy watching this group and our attacking style of rugby. The Wilkinson Ridyard and McNally link up is the best attack in the league and look like they have been playing together for years, ridyard was in particularly good today. The negative from today is we should have seen that game out and we blew getting the 2 points.

also stated previously we are 2 or 3 players away from from walking this league, Moran has been a superb so far m. Hopefully we keep adding the this group and get them tied down

Fantastic game. Felt we had the edge over Dews but we went into our shell in the second half and stopped creating and they ground their way back into the game and I think deserved the draw.

Ridyard was brilliant again and his kicking game was supreme. Thought Ah Van was superb along with Moran and Whittel. The only downside really was our defending of kicks which cost us the win.

Agree above about Ridyard, McNally and Wilkinson being a superb combination. We looked fantastic with the ball in the first half

I think it shows how far we have come to feel a little disappointed we didnt get the win.

The pack were fantastic again following last week. All the middles did their job and our back row worked their socks off. This allowed Ridyard and Mcnally show their class.

We are contenders in this division.

Very even-handed comments from you lot, thank you it makes a nice change.

I reckon you played much the better rugby for most of the game, controlling the ball well and regularly switching play. (Sadly with programmes or team sheets no longer being available it was hard to name your most influential players, except for Ridyard, obviously.)

We should have won it in the end, other than by giving a daft penalty away for stripping, I believe. Had we won, it would have been a pickpocket act - you didn't deserve to lose.

On the day, the best team drew, without a doubt.

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

A brilliant advert for the game of Rugby League, one that was in doubt until the final five minutes. It's a shame for Restall who had a great game to knock on right at the end, and was lucky that Oldham didn't close the game down and so take both points.

However, for either side to lose would have been a travesty. Can't wait for the game over yon.

Thanks to both sides for a great afternoon.

I thought Oldham deserved the two points today. You made very few mistakes and Ridyard’s kicking was superb (he’s still a class act).

Hopefully the takeover of the club goes well and the people of Oldham get behind you again as you move to Boundary Park..

I will have to mention Pat Ah Van amongst those who put in a great stint. He started on the edge, then moved to the middle, where he put in a great shift, went off for about 5 mins, before being sent back on on the wing. He was up there as my man of the match. Also Nelmes came on for two great stints in the middle.

What a brilliant game of rugby and a fantastic atmosphere. Spoke to a few people who haven't been down for years and said they'd definitely be back. Who can blame them after that game. Disappointed to have given up a 10 point lead late on but a defeat would have been disastrous, so I'll reluctantly take a point. Quite a few standout performances but Ah Van was also my man of the match. The team's looking stronger game by game and the belief and spirit looks to be there. I wonder whether we'll see one or two additions to have a real push now?

Glad to see all the great comments about the way both teams played in what was an excellent advert for League 1.

After all the pre-game cocerns I think it is worth mentioning the referee who had decisions to make but controlled the game well and allowed us all to reflect on the rugby and not the officiating.

Can't argue about the referee too much. However, Dewsbury's final try, according to those nearestto it, said it was on the wrong try line ie. over the rugby deadball line and near to the football line.

Is there a video out there to prove it one way or the other?
