An encouraging display by Newcastle but very poor last tackle options

Pathetic channel. Edit. Can't even spell Newcastle on the notice.

I received recently a text from Viaplay reminding me my annual subscription is due for renewal, £99 for a year,  excellent value IMO.

They said and I quote,  " don't miss out on Scottish Cup Final, Euro 2024 qualifiers,  Nations League,  NHL Ice Hockey and Motor Sport."

RL is an afterthought even on this "pathetic" channel.

Good marketing team though they left Rugby Union out.

You best avoid any emails from Sky and those BBC licence renewals, pal.

Have the cameramen been boozing? Not seen either try properly.

The first one at least was on the production/direction team, who fell foul of something that has bugged me for years with RL coverage.

When there's an attacking play near one of the corner flags that looks like it might produce a try, all RL broadcasters invariably switch to the camera in the corner. I realise the idea is to bring you closer to the action, but all it does is briefly disorientate the viewer, who loses all idea of where the ball is in relation to the line. It's so annoying!

What was funny about last night is the producer deftly switched to the corner flag camera as Foggin-Johnston was racing away for the try - but selected the wrong camera, so we got a shot from the far end corner 100m from where the try was scored!

I generally think ViaPlay's coverage has been excellent but I would love it if one TV company would have the courage to stop this infuriating obsession with switching to the corner cameras mid-play.

On the game i thought Bradford played as if the handbrake had been taken off.Much more movement of the ball and more open play. However their defence was poor and against much better teams than Newcastle they would have conceded over 30 points.Newcastle looked like a side that may struggle to stay up this season. The effort was there but they lack quality in a few positions.
