London too big, too fast and too strong today. Regarding the attendance, the bloke behind me said it was a lot bigger than usual and there were certainly a lot more than 50 Widnes fans there.

Sadly I have no friends.

Good win for Fax who started very slowly but Toulouse came up with a ton of errors which made it uphill sailing for them from pretty much the 20 minute mark in the game. Toulouse nothing to play for and potentially had one eye on next weeks game against Fev but for Fax it gives us a good chance of making the playoffs now and despite been pretty average for most of the season, if we can make the playoffs I am not sure any team would fancy playing us given our seeming tendancy to up our game in big games.

Love your optimism Oxy but after watching London today if I was looking for a dark horse they would be my choice. Size all over the park and Norman, on one leg today, pulling the strings.

Just because you think everyone hates you doesn't mean they don't.

You might be right, he had a mate with him who he was explaining things too but it was also pretty obvious the guy was not a rugby league novice.

32 points 100% gets you in playoffs
31 poins might get you in playoffs, but 50/50

30 points is possible, but needs a lot of other results to go your way

What complicates it is the number of games involving two of the candidates. They can't both win.

I actually think 30 might be enough but I'm not going to waste my time going through all the possible options.

I don't think 30 will be enough.

London should beat keithley last game :- So thats 32

Fax should win both remaining games :- 31

Batley should beat newcastle :- so on 30

one of Sheffield or Bradford has to be on 31 seeing they play each other.  So looking at that at least 5 teams should be on 31 or better

Fev

Tolouse

London

Fax

Bradford \ Sheffield

so means for a team other than Batley or Bradford to qualify on 30 (assuming results above) you would need

Batley to lose to York

Sheffield to lose to Widnes

London to beat Bradford

Bradford to beat or draw with Sheffield

Can't see all of the above 4 things happening TBH

London are going up. Seen this before.

I've seen it. Didn't end well, to be fair.

I care not for your family; I care not for your kin. I come in search of terror, though terror is my own; I come in search of vengeance for crimes and crimes unknown. Not sure what to make of this and some of our French friends will perhaps know more, but there's worrying news in an article in La Depeche suggesting Toulouse Olympique are on the verge of bankruptcy  and are appealing to be bailed out by the local/metropolitan council.

Reading the article it looks like €120k of the €300k required has already been committed by the Regional Government Sports Dept (€50k) and the Haute-Garonne Departmental Council (€70k), with a further €110k from Toulouse Metropole to be voted on at the next Council meeting.

The article finishes with the paragraph:

"We cannot imagine that the TO XIII will file for bankruptcy. There is the professional team but also all the youth teams" explains an elected official from the Metropolis. Before adding, without believing it too much: "Now, we all hope that the TOXIII manages its budget squarely".

There are some gloomy prognoses on the Toulouse forum I can tell you, though I can't work out who are the reliable posters on there.

Like people seen to think we are part of Wigan, I thought the same with Griffs 3 places Ponte, Cas and Fev, we are both saddled with Metro/Councils.

It's more fun being Americanised though lol 😆 😅

Seems that they were also 'bailed out' last year by local gov - the Departmental official mentions giving them €70k a year ago too - which I guess explains the last comments.

Not forgetting Beninorm, LA (that's Low Ackworth) and my personal favourite, the Big Apple - Bramley.

If you say so.  I'm quite happy to await the outcome.

It would be interesting to see a proper league table without the ridiculous summer bash

Why don't you do it?  It's one game apiece - how hard can it be?

Because it would be so tight with points difference. Am not clever enough to work it out. I know York would be plus 30 points better off

sometimes you have to take a step backwards to move forward

Quick look suggests York would move up 1 place to 8th. Only team to benefit by moving into the play offs would be 'fax (7th to 5th) at the expense of Batley (6th to 7th). Other teams to move would be Bradford (5th to 6th) and Widnes (8th to 9th).

Would make it even more interesting for the final 2 games don’t you think

First Broncos game since they moved to Wimbledon today and thought they looked really good. A big team on the whole, and that contributed to some fairly soft scores up the middle. I would guess at a crowd of 1200, with 250 Widnes, but nothing to compare to so could be way out.
