Players you would sign

What exactly did we do with the £2m from WMDC? If it was spent on players was that allowed? Meanwhile the floodlights are awful to start with and that’s before half the bulbs that don’t work. The terracing is falling to bits, the car park is a safety hazard. Has there been ever been an official explanation where or if the WMDC money has been spent?

Not to my knowledge i am not a Wakefield council tax payer or i would be asking those questions.

WMDC have made us close part of the PO Rd terracing ,so why on earth don't  the club  get it done with some of the money from the council? It's not like there's no room to put the supporters who usually stand there while it's done. New bulbs for the floodlights if we can't afford new floodlights. Surely we have a right to know what the money is being used for. Them running the club don't seem to care about anything let alone us paying supporters. 😒

CEO a proven con man, got plenty of previous! Haven't used the council grant as far as l know nothing disclosed by club.

It's beyond belief it really is  Wakey and C@$ spent theirs on their grounds but we don't need half of what they needed doing and what have we got to show for ours - ZILCH by looks ov it!

Is Steadman still on the coaching staff?

I haven't seen him at any of the matches for quite a while, i heard he had gone to Rugby Union at York.

24!  He's 24?  Having seen him play, I'd assumed he was nearer 34.

Yes, he's 24, and Fev will be the 10th club he has played for!!

He was at the Whitehaven game, albeit socially.

Great signing if true young, aggressive and can play hooker or loose forward. But with this signing I think it means addy out for season

You’d think so which is a shame as he’s been quality all year, it’s probably the same reason we’ve brought locky back in because other than Reynolds (who isn’t guaranteed to be at the club any longer than 2 weeks) we don’t really have any senior players

Is Cator another one where people have just seen a post by Gledhill and believed it?

There’s multiple reports that he’s left Hull, so that seems reliable. Nothing been said that he’s signing for us though.

That should put the rumours to bed.

To be fair there were no real links with us, just fans speculating. It is the transfer deadline on Friday, but can’t see us having the money to spend.

I think we bring atleast 1 in on loan just due to injury’s to addy, Massey, lacans etc who are out for a while

I'm sure we have been looking and hopefully there may be another addition but so is everybody else and mostly in the same positions. For instance Bradford fans have been clamouring for a half back for months and have been playing with just as many makeshift players at half back as we have. They probably have a bit more cash to spend than us this season but have ended up bringing back the 37-year-old Jarrod Sammut, who by all accounts wasn't lighting it up for Workington and hasn't played for 2 or 3 months because he reportedly went off to do a non-rugby overseas work contract.

I mean, it might work out for them because he'll be playing behind a powerful pack, but like with us re-signing Chisholm last year it does show the lack of availability of half backs. Even Wakefield have found themselves in a similar position to us, having to play their full back at half back because they have a couple of injuries, and we know they are absolutely minted.
