The only positive I see from it is another venue to Perpignan for all the fans who have already made that trip.

Really looking forward to when it is DEMANDED that all the scoring criteria for all the clubs has to be made transparent and scrutinised by looking into each and every clubs returns.

I feel the same about Leigh.

I've been there, seen it, done it.

No need for them to remain in SL now...

It'll liven this board up when another, in addition to London, of the current incumbents get the boot from SL....

That is why I say it will be tantamount to forensic inspection of clubs returns on the criteria spreadsheets, the RFL and their paid consultants are playing a very dangerous game with the timing of this.

And you are there on merit and are a real credit to the comp at the moment.

My point was simply about the nonsense remark that the only attraction or benefit of TO in SL is it being a "new" place to visit.

Go on list all the positives, not all the potentials?

Don't worry - IMG are measuring the positive impacts. Love it or loath it, that's the purpose of the grading system.

I think there will be a number of people worrying re the measurements, do you think the final placings will just be accepted without question?

Leigh bring nothing to the SL competition.

Just a Championship club with a very keen benefactor.

If we're going down the path of what individual clubs "bring" to SL, what would Toulouse bring?

POTENTIAL, Higgy POTENTIAL, we have been hearing that for a few years now, but there has never ever been any substance attached to it.

C"mon then tell me what apart from the 'P' word and a weekend away for those who can afford it what do Toulouse offer?

Do you reckon SL club Chairmen/Owners/Financial  want them in?

In fairness, neither Catalans Dragons nor Toulouse were able to vote with regard to IMG.

Therefore,if it is of benefit to them:good luck to them.

No reserves, but resilience, persistence and determination are omnipotent.

I mean  as an example Huddersfield have been in SL over 20 years. Shouldn't other teams get a chance to establish themselves?

If we want to attract and retain top rugby players and build support we need to offer more than the same teams playing the same teams every year on the M62. That's called stagnation.

And we need international matches at national and club level.

What are the benefits of Toulouse being in SL ?.

If they don't get the chance to establish like Catalan were given the answer is nothing.

If given the chance it help increase the French opportunities for young players coming through were Catalan are a limited option.

It will if given time give us another (derby) and hopefully create more highlights,

Some people say Catalan give nothing to SL, well these same people will not even look at Toulouse with anything but negatively.

I don't want Toulouse to replace existing SL clubs but as part of 14/16 team competition, that ultimately is the direction the sport needs to go rather than shrinking to create short term increases of standards when the direction is in the wrong way.

I have asked many times on here, what is this magical thing clubs will bring that some clubs won't? I still await a detailed answer. I watched Catalans at Cas a couple of weeks ago with a few friends and none of us know what this thing is they are bringing. Even their team this season is no more than average.
