''In elite-level sport, it's about fine margins.''

The blurriness and camera options don't do the decision-makers any favours in ruling on that Makinson put-down.

I have to be honest. I think it is highly likely that his foot was down.

Can clearly see a green boot on the floor before the ball is grounded on one of the angles. That is really bad.

I thought the ball was grounded before his foot hits the ground, so not that "clear" then.

Im really not sure that call is as close as people are making out. We will get to watch it again but once you work out which is Makinsons foot on the side angle its very clear it is on the floor before the ball is grounded.

Video ref couldn't make any other decision - impossible to know if he got it down or not

Lino gave it as a try to the ref so I think the right depiction was made.

Problem with Warrington nowadays it's pretty much a commuter town for Manchester and Liverpool.

Mostly wendyball fans:(

What rubbish, they were getting almost sell outs only a couple years ago.

As long as Arm Band Tattoo Ref (I think that’s his name) from last night doesn’t ref the Gf, I will be… well I will be satisfied with the referee appointment I guess.

You are "clearly" looking at the wrong foot. 😉

I'll re-watch at HT and see what you're referring to

I like football too. Those new residents are a marketing opportunity.

If we think we need new fans to come from families who already have a rugby league tradition, then we might as well give up now.

I go to Wire 2/3 times a year the support sadly is fickle.

What's that got to do with anything? Most RL fans are fickle.

Do you call it that when you're at Beckenham?

I would’ve thought you’d be resting that wide span of yours this late

Anyway, enjoying the game. Relatively low number (under 2,000) following it on the BBC web site.

Hopefully plenty enjoying it on actual BBC Two though.

Totally agree however it seems it's a slog there.

Main seating arras plenty of food options and excellent staff it's a shame.

Just the position of his leg makes it highly likely that his leg was down.

I'm watching it via iPlayer on BBC 2, rather than the RL part of the website.
