Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that the last second tier team to knock out 2 top tier sides in the same year was... Bradford in 2019 (London and Leeds)... only to get knocked out themselves by a Championship team (Halifax).

Glorious especially as the build up to the game made it out like Bradford beating Fax and getting in to the semi final was a forgone conclusion. 🤣

I believe so, and before that I think it was Leigh in 2015 beating Salford and Wakefield

I wonder if TO in their pomp would've gone deep at some point. Missed opportunities yet again.

Aye, and Bradford true to form were handing out glossy leaflets advertising the semi-final. Needless to say, we picked up loads and handed 'em out to the bulls fans in the traffic queue at the 508 bus stop! 😅

Agreed, until the semis, it’s the strong championship clubs that are the best stories. The more the better, I’d also have home advantage automatically awarded to any teams drawn against ones in higher divisions.

By all accounts this game is being played to different rules for each side. Salford have one less substitution than the bulls? 🤔 😒

If you offered Salford one less substitution as their greatest problem, they'd bite your hand off.

You have to read the RFL page each week to see which rules Salford have had imposed on them, or which they have broken.

Standard loss of interchange for changing the squad after the deadline is what happened this week.

If they changed the squad after the deadline then it counts as a substitution.

Which would mean they are playing under the same rules.

Well... it looks like 'Postage stamp pitch dwellers' Northern, could beat a ram shackled, dis-illusioned, red devils. Who would have though...

There can't be much in salary cap between the 2 teams yet still Bradford come up short yet again... happy days.

You're wrong 😄 - Bulls played Fev and Keighley before Leeds that year

I mean the club have done some stupid things in the past so I wouldn't put it past them - but what on earth did the leaflets say given both the competitors and venue were yet to be confirmed at the time of printing...?

Most Fev fans have very little expectations with the current injuries, but hopefully we will pick up when we actually get some HB's.

Fortunately we are not giving it the big 'uns on being the next big thing.. at least not for the last year and this.

I just can't understand how 38 people thought Northern would win 😂

Bradford will win Super Greed in 2 years my friend. And Fev and Salford  will be in their true home - Pennine League. That's a fact, ask anyone.
