Arty Farty and You

I hope this is a new theme for a topic thread that will interest some people. Do you do any kind of art at all? If so what materials do you use? Why that set of art stuff, what attracted you to it?  Have you tried anything different or new for you?

I'm a terrible artist with no talent and less patience but I really love sketching, watercolour and soft and oil pastels, all for different reasons. With Watercolour it is the way you have to let it do what it does and follow along. With both kinds of pastels it's the use of colour the blending and control. 

I've just read this back and it almost sounds like I know what I'm talking about but I just enjoy it all.

Joseph Pujol, better known by his stage name Le Pétomane, was a French flatulist and entertainer. He was famous for his remarkable control of the abdominal muscles, which enabled him to seemingly fart at will. His stage name combines the French verb péter, "to fart" with the -mane, "-maniac" suffix, which translates to "fartomaniac". The profession is referred to as "flatulist", "farteur" whidh I think also involves a film with Leonard Rossiter

Now is there anyone out there who's more arty and less trumpy out there? Or do RL and Art go their own ways for eternity?

Or should I remove the OP and change the title to toilet humour and the UK?

Not me, but my wife has been exhibiting her oil paintings this weekend. She'll sometimes spend 25-30 hours per week in her studio, usually with several pieces on the go.

Well Jon, is it oils or some other medium?

You're not going to tell me she just avoiding something you do related to the above, are you?

I do pen and ink sketches in the journal I use for Vogon standard poetry but that’s about it. Not always very good but that’s not the point, better something created that’s out than left inside.
