Oxford Posted April 20 Posted April 20 I hope this is a new theme for a topic thread that will interest some people. Do you do any kind of art at all? If so what materials do you use? Why that set of art stuff, what attracted you to it? Have you tried anything different or new for you? I'm a terrible artist with no talent and less patience but I really love sketching, watercolour and soft and oil pastels, all for different reasons. With Watercolour it is the way you have to let it do what it does and follow along. With both kinds of pastels it's the use of colour the blending and control. I've just read this back and it almost sounds like I know what I'm talking about but I just enjoy it all. Soy Ramon y este es mi camión....

Then I can recommend Joseph Pujol, better known by his stage name Le Pétomane, was a French flatulist and entertainer. He was famous for his remarkable control of the abdominal muscles, which enabled him to seemingly fart at will. His stage name combines the French verb péter, "to fart" with the -mane, "-maniac" suffix, which translates to "fartomaniac". The profession is referred to as "flatulist", "farteur" whidh I think also involves a film with Leonard Rossiter And The Art of Farting: How Fart Changed the World Paperback on Amazon 1 Soy Ramon y este es mi camión....
Futtocks Posted April 20 Posted April 20 If, however, you prefer to keep the smell contained, may I suggest the oeuvre of Neke Carson? Let me never fall into the vulgar mistake of dreaming that I am persecuted whenever I am contradicted. Ralph Waldo Emerson
Jeff Stein Posted April 20 Posted April 20 I went to a show at the Serpentine Gallery many years ago by Chris Ofili, who specialises in having elephant dung on his canvases.
Oxford Posted April 20 Author Posted April 20 Now is there anyone out there who's more arty and less trumpy out there? Or do RL and Art go their own ways for eternity? Or should I remove the OP and change the title to toilet humour and the UK? Soy Ramon y este es mi camión....
JonM Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Not me, but my wife has been exhibiting her oil paintings this weekend. She'll sometimes spend 25-30 hours per week in her studio, usually with several pieces on the go. 1

You're not going to tell me she just avoiding something you do related to the above, are you? I've come to think RL fans and Art don't mix! Soy Ramon y este es mi camión....
CanaBull Posted April 21 Posted April 21 I do pen and ink sketches in the journal I use for Vogon standard poetry but that’s about it. Not always very good but that’s not the point, better something created that’s out than left inside. 1
