Tricky - Black Steel

http://www.youtube.c...h?v=Wu8LpalUelY

I think I prefer the Tricky version to the Public Enemy original

But Chuck D really is something else.

ROCKAMOVYA is a fantastic sound - an unlikely mix of roots reggae, rocksteady and jazz blink.gif. I can't turn it off my ipod and it improves every time I listen.

As you can see, those chaps at Amazon have been trousering a lot of my hard-earned lately:
  • Henry Butler - PiaNOLA Live
  • Dixie Dregs - What if
  • Kinky Friedman - Sold American
  • Los Lobos - Wolf Tracks (compilation)
  • Michael Franti & Spearhead - Stay Human
  • Louis Prima - Just a Gigolo
  • Robbie Robertson - Storyville
  • Van Der Graaf Generator - Trisector
  • Yello - Stella
...all sounding mighty fine, thanks to my new amplifier. A Cambridge 740A with a £200 discount from Richer Sounds? Thank you! smile.gif

I'll take the reggae batton and give it a twist:

Bad Brains

I used to vaguely know the guitarist/ vocalist in the white t-shirt. One of us went on to bigger and better things:

Nailbomb

It's late enough for this now:

Glen Campbell
It's not a question of coming down to earth, Mr Duxbury. Some of us, Mr Duxbury, belong in the stars.
