You are Marwan Koukash and I claim my five pounds.

If Marwan's paying I wouldn't hold your breath.

Left them at home tonight, so it would appear

I think he left them in Wakefield, he's been bad all season. Some awful decision making from Wigan. Wire were too fast to try and pass it round so much. Needed to play simple for a bit and complete some sets. Doesn't help having a coach with a plan A and no plan B.

So rubbing your hands in faces during every tackle DOESN'T win you games?

I have to say watching Sims last weekend when mic'ed up I thought he came across as a great leader and a good guy so I don't understand what was with the cheap punches to williams.

Great game though that, great atmosphere.

Wane was saying all the right things there, giving rightful praise to Wire. Then completely spoils it by saying they played the referee better. This ref bashing by coaches is getting tedious.

I've noticed him bring that one out a few times in defeat. Never noticed him say Wigan played the ref better when they win though.

Fully agree...I've always thought he's been underestimated and unsong and last week put him in a great light....then tonight he goes and does that seemingly for no reason

That wasn't ref bashing, that is saying they (Warrington) know how he refs, so does he, and they played to the refs strengths and weaknesses better than his own team did.

That could be a dig at his own team.

It's rubbish though...as it was when cunningham said it at the weekend...it's a poor excuse for losing the forward battle

I like Matty Russell . I was at the WC Scotland games and he was outstanding . He always looks like he can make something happen . Do you think if he committed to England he'd be in with a shout of a place in a squad ?

better side by far wire, what they have is players off the bench who can turn a game, exactly what wigan don't have.

Through the fish-eyed lens of tear stained eyes
I can barely define the shape of this moment in time(roger waters)

Although his try was great, I would have given MoM to Dwyer.  He livened everyone up when he came on in the first half and he didn't stop buzzing around and causing trouble (of the right kind) all second half.  For a guy in his debut season and a handful of Superleague games under his belt he is looking like quite a prospect.

What I posted is the coaches defence if they get hauled in for ref bashing.

It is code for "I thought the ref was cr ap".

There is no need for it I agree, but all coaches do it in a vain hope that they influence the next game that the same official referees with their team involved.

Its the same as claiming all week "we are underdogs".

See what happens when they decide to put The Wire back onto their club badge

Thanks for clearing that up....pfft

....but yes, totally unjustified in both cases

Coaches get coached, it amazes me that people get wound up about this stuff.

The same words are used over and over again, from club after club. The words are chosen carefully by the media team to avoid the coach having his collar felt.

These statements are usually not about the game just played but about games further down the line, I don't know why they bother. The refs are also coached to expect silly criticism, the whole thing averages out to zero.
