Hi everyone, I'm trying to help push Central American rugby league's social media accounts. Obviously it helps the cause of each nation to have a greater reach and to attract sponsors. We're also using it as a measuring stick against the social media of Central American Union. Central America has a very real possibility of TGG being the major code of rugby in a short space of time with a little nurturing. We have just started a Youtube Channel for "How to" videos in Spanish so new players can get into the game. I can tell you that out of the possible 21 accounts (7 nations X 3 accounts), the rugby league account has a better following on Seven. Only 14 to go! The total follower count is 26,347 to RU and 10,002 to RL at last count. The growth of the RL accounts has been double that of the RU accounts since I've rolled up my sleeves though. Let's do it!

He has the most run metres (420), joint top line breaks (3), second most tackle breaks (15) and second most try assists (7) of all the half backs in the NRL this year. In what has been a stuttering season so far for the Raiders, Williams's form has been a real positive.

Not nosey at all mate. I could talk about it for hours. I am the founder of the El Salvador and Nicaragua RL so far. There have been some interesting contacts on the ground very recently in Honduras and Costa Rica too. There are a small number of players in El Salvador which has been halted because of COVID-19. Nicaragua is a bit more active. They completed their first domestic competition last year with 4 teams in 3 cities. I believe Honduras could come to the dark side in a big way and match Nicaragua but time will tell. I really do think RL could get established in Central America. It is a fairly unique set of countries that have some huge benefits and also some challenges.

Steve I am a perfect example of an Irish person ( so not from the heartland ) who was attracted to the game. I had no interest at all in RL as a kid until I saw Challenge Cup finals on TV. You remember all those Widnes finals in the late 1970s and Eddie Waring etc? I thought it was great and started to talk about it and no one ( no one) was interested. I would watch the Grandstand games on Saturday afternoon if I wasn't out and no one else even knew they were on. None of my friends even knew what the Challenge Cup was. I had my teams I supported before I had ever visited the towns in question and this may sound strange but actually visiting those towns was a big thrill. The game attracts fans outside the heartland by having people see the game and if they become fans great. We can't make it artificial. I was attracted to the game because it was REAL in Yorkshire and Lancashire and because it was a great game.As a kid I wouldn't have been attracted to Ireland in the RLWC. Not real you see? It'll always be minority ( and do I mean minority !!! ) in places like Ireland and it is the real thing that will attract not artificail concepts. What attracted me was seeing town teams play like men possessed in real competition.

I think he was 'Simac' before Lounge Room Lizard. Never met Simon, but his posts always led me to believe that he was a real nice lad. RIP Simon.

Tom Burgess showed up well for the Souths again, very strong carries, whilst the Brits for the Roosters shone again. The Morris brothers seem to improve with age

My Dad. Sadly left us this morning aged 74, after suffering a stroke yesterday evening. He wasn't really an RL fan, being a proud Welshman he loved his Rugby Union, plus football, having been brought up as a Wrexham fan. I did get him to a handful of games over the years, including a couple of visits to The Racecourse, both to watch Wales, and Fev v NW Crusaders a few years back. He lived most of his life in Ponte, having moved there shortly after I was born, given my mum was a Cas lass and had family locally. Weirdly, especially given I became a Fev fan rather than following Cas like my mum's family, he'd actually seen Fev at Wembley 10 years before I was born, due to a friendship in his student days with a Barrow fan. Strange how these things sometimes happen.
