I spotted this in the news - the lighthouse at Cleveland harbour, coated in ice.

Its the thired person in the distance that really makes it, that body really draws you into the photograph.

I have to agree with you and Padge.

I love that one as well.

Who took it then?

A lot of Yorkshiremen believe that when God created the world, he made it with perfect balance.

He balanced the hot areas with the cold areas. the dry areas with the wet areas.

And, in creating Yorkshire, he created the most glorious place on earth - full of majestic beauty and sporting giants.........and for balance he created....... Lancashire.

Yes, I see what you're driving at there.

on another forum i go on they have a monthly photo comp where a subject is picked for that month, during the month anyone can post a photo and at the end of the month the posters vote on which is the best shot.

i thought as we are heading into a new month, and a new year at the weekend, now would be a good time to start.

anyone up for it.

i would suggest for the subject; SOMETHING NEW.

Interesting starter subject, apt for the time of year as well.

aye

If there is enough interest and this is a runner I propse it runs for a 3 week posting and 1 week voting cycle.

Pictures to be taken and posted between Jan 1 2011 and Jan 22 2011, voting takes place from Jan 23 2011 to Jan 30 2011, most votes on Jan 31 2011 = winner and chooses next subject for Feb.

The real Mick Gledhill is what you see on here, a Bradford fan ........, but deep down knows that Bradford are just not good enough to challenge the likes of Leeds & St Helens.
