Its the missus' and mine anniversary today and didn't even get a card

I didn't get her one but that isn't the point.

Britain's most off-putting programme-title is on the BBC4 channel tonight ... Jo Brand on Kissing

I'm off to Edinburgh next week for a couple of days. Hanging up the butcher's apron and donning the ill fitting business suit.

Posted

This weekend I have:

- Baked my first cakes since school. I made a batch of vanilla muffins. Utterly delicious.

- Done my end-of-year accounts for one of my two companies, including manually reconciling bank accounts against receipts. Started 8am today, just finished.

- Watched 6 games of rugby (sic). 2x rugby league, 4x rugby union.

- Watched 3 episodes of Grimm, 1 Walking Dead, 1 Castle, 2 Family Guy and 1 Cleveland Show.

Still to do:

- More cakes! A bigger batch of muffins. And some coconut slice thingies

- Scotland v France

- Ironing shirts for the week (at the same time as the union game)

- The wife

- A whole heap of shredding unneeded stuff from account reconciliation.

- More backed-up telly episodes.

A nice, quiet, relaxing weekend!

Still trying to decide which of those activities will be the least interesting.

Usually enough stoppages to allow me to get the shirts done properly ;)

You're too unbalanced to be a moderator. :angry2:

By the by, that Walking Dead ep was good, all action no plot. (To coin a Spurs blog phrase)

Quantity != quality :)

I bought a huge omnibus book of the animated stuff, good stuff and very good that the series uses it as a skeleton with extra meat added.

The tv show coming to a stage where Sarah Wayne Callies is Lori Grimes and not Sara Tancredi to me.

That saddle's only partially white!

My brother says we can see the international space station tonight, I am dubious of this claim.

I've seen it a couple of times. Also, over the last few nights Venus and Jupiter have been really bright in the sky (can't miss them, two brightest objects in the sky in the same area).

Thems the ones. Venus is the lower one, Jupiter is the other one up a bit and to the left. Mars was also visible but it is now below the horizon. The stellarium app is a wonderful thing ;)

I saw this stuff (Aurasma, an Autonomy sub-division) demonstrated by someone senior there on the train this morning. Hugely impressive stuff. We spent ages talking about how good it was.

A rugby league example would be if you pointed your iPhone at a rugby league advert and it fired up a video overlay. Or pointed your phone at a rugby league ground and it fired up information based on the fixture coming up.

Shiny techie stuff!

I installed Windows 8 today. Scary in the number of changes and also how good it seems to be. I genuinely thought it would be abysmal but it's not.
