I'm off to see Bill Bailey tonight.

He was just about the best comedian I have seen. Laughed so much it hurt.

I hope she's a member of Bisexual Americans for the Oxford Cavaliers.

She says that she is not.

Apparently, she is straight.

We saw him in Boston and he was very good.

I've just received confirmation for a nice trip for a couple of days at the end of next week to Montpelier all courtesy of IBM.

This lunchtime, I discovered the most unnerving thing I've encountered this year. I was in a shopping centre and the down escalator was stopped meaning I had to use it like a normal set of stairs, my brain was screaming at me that it was all wrong and that I'd go flying if I extended my leg like that. I think it was the striped metal that really confused my poor brain.

On another note, I'm off to meet a new client today. Positives: Nice scenic offices just off The Mall and in one of the prettier parts of London with a client with a reputation for paying well. Negatives: Right in the middle of the most pretentious part of London and working for a client that has a less than stellar ethical history. They have said that they've cleaned up their ethical background but I'm still not sure...

Caved in and got an iPhone 4s. The Siri function is very impressive. Not that far off having a star trek/HAL style voice controller computers. Now all I need is the hover board I was promised back in the 80s. Although I suppose strictly speaking we still have until 2015 for that.

Won't you be in the "shaking your walking stick at the pesky youngsters" age-group by then?

So funny the things you hear on a busy high street.

"Does your Brian read Margaret?"

"Yes" .......................

"But not books"

Lol

In the blink of an eye it could all be taken away.  Be grateful always.

On the train into London, I go through some of the more scenic countryside in the east of England. Today, pure blue skies from a rising dawn, still not sun-up yet, not a cloud in sight, rolling gentle hills, lovely countryside. All was well in the world until I saw a plane contrail at the right of my vision and saw it expand and stretch further into my panoramic view. For some reason, that really annoyed me.

One of the men at a company I deal with has a son who's a world champion motorcyclist.

Who's that then?

Haven't put our Christmas decorations up yet nor have I wrapped any presents or completed my Christmas shopping. Humbug.
