My mistake. Barlow is 27! And there was me thinking he was around 23...

So, it's only Acton that is a young pup at 22.

Barlow should have learned more by now discipline wise.

Barlows only 27... Jesus

Where was his paper Round??

The whole of Cumbria??

Another tight game at Leigh and it all kicks off. Who'd have thought it?

Surely time for the RL to take a closer look?

On the little used Leigh forum, one headline stated that Rowley did not think the game would follow last season's battle.

Legs, Dews, Legs.

In the main it didn't really. Sure there was a bit of an undercurrent, but up until the last 15 minutes or so you wouldn't have known there was a bit of "history"

Last 10 minutes though... (please just refer to earlier posts of mine. lol)

They should be called a Thugby Team not Rugby, I hope they get promoted and get battered every game next season, apparently there chairman was on Twitter last night hurling abuse at opposition players and fans.

Something for them all to be proud of, never ever met a bunch of so arrogant supporters in my life I mention the other week that they were dirty and was told they are not a dirty team lol. .

I can't be bothered replying at length to this, but, in the main, you're wrong. You're just jumping on the band wagon.

We have a recent problem with indiscipline, from some of our players. Not all. And I am fully confident it will be sorted asap.

We're not top of the league by just being good at "thugby" you know...

And as for Derek Beaumont on Twitter (and he's not the Chairman, so you need to get your facts in order first, please) it looks like his account has been hacked. But I am not in a position to say either way, so I won't comment any further on that.

Can you define recent? This is not the first season you have had "problems with indiscipline."

Same for most clubs that though, pal. Surely?

surely u cant be so naive in thinking that its the other club that plays leigh.... we played leigh game turned nasty fax played leigh game turned nasty bulls played leigh u get the drift where as when we played the other two teams mentioned the game didnt i agree leigh are a dirty niggly team but are also a good team that shouldnt need to resort to these tactics thats why you are fast becoming the most disliked team in this league

Aye - if only all players were choirboys like our very own Matty Haggerty eh ? Come on lads - every club has it's share of villains - although some might think Leigh have a bigger share than most. ;)

I've just been reading the match report on the Leigh game and all the usual names come up again.

Haggerty, Armstrong and everybody's favourite player, Jamie Acton all making headlines for dishing out the aggro. It's never for any skilful play is it?

Looks like another trip to the disciplinary again boys.

They're on the telly this weekend for everybody to see. I wonder if they'll be on their best behaviour? Over to you Ant.

I'll leave it be now, especially on here...

Ramsfandan, you missed my point, mate.

Some of Leigh's players need to get a grip, but the entire team are not thugs. That's like saying all other teams are angels.

Catch you later, fellas.

Up the Rams.

It's not all the Leigh players, it's the same few faces but it's hard to see how indiscipline from the likes of Higson, Acton and Barlow helps the team. It's up to Rowley to sort it out before the Deiscplinary start making some decisions for him.

You need to start attending our games guys, before I explain I would just like to say that I myself am getting a bit frustrated with our team giving the verbals, some of our discipline has been poor on that front and most of it needless and niggly but none of us know what the players are saying to each other on the pitch.

What I will say is that both times I have been within a few feet of the "brawls" that have ensued down at the LSV and both times they were started by the opposition.

Danny Williams (Bradford) threw a hay-maker at Gregg McNally in front of all the officials and it went off, and on Sunday Cahalane the Aussie for Halifax was trying to re-arrange Haggerty's face on the deck when we had possession and Haggerty lashed out, funnily enough both of these occurred when Bradford & Halifax fell behind on the scoreboard (go figure).

Every team that has come to the LSV and tried to play rugby on the fantastic pitch has been beaten convincingly, every team that comes and tries to slow it down, get niggly and make a fight of it has succeeded and the score has been tighter.

I saw no discipline issues when we beat Super League opposition (apart from funnily enough the opposition-Patterson's attack to McNally's head................again)

I wonder what tactics Dewsbury will use at the LSV?

Would of thought anybody trying to rearrange Haggerty's face would be doing his wife a favour. ;) If our Matt plays at the LSV, Haggerty v Haggerty should be interesting. Hopefully though it will be a game where we end up discussing the rugby and not the afters.

Nobody's disputing your a damn good side it's just certain players all mentioned above that can spoil the game for all supporters, got to say though it must be frustrating for the other lads in the side,I noticed Bob Beswick wasn't happy with a certain Mr Barlow last Sunday & told him so. The thing is it seems to have trickled down to your reserve side as well going on what I saw & heard last Thursday in our 34-24 win,no coincidence that Higson was playing,he was up to his tricks from the beginning with his cheap shots, your coach was sent to the stands & I don't thing I've ever seen this before in a reserve game, the ref had to be escorted from the field as 1 of your officials was trying to get to him. I heard it kicked off in the kitchen area when Angie was trying to sort food out for the players. But everything was going according to plan when you were 24-6 up just into 2nd half then when we went 28-24 up all hell broke lose,so binosh,it isn't always when the opposition fall behind but the other way round!!!

Think it is a little disingenuous to blame the opposition all the time. In the opening minutes v Dewsbury, Higson put in a high tackle, luckily missed Hyde with another high shot and put another cheap shot third man in in the second half and he had barely been involved in the game, so no-one was provoking him. Likewise Acton, late hit on Thackery, followed through on our winger after he had scored, neither of these were Leigh players provoked. And Barlow wasn't provoked when he gave Beckett plenty of afters in the tackle and then got binned for dissent. It's not all the Leigh players but if you look on the RFL Disciplinary they make regular appearances.

And yes Leigh are a very good full-time team in a basically part-time League.
