I bet no one planned for a draw ?

Maybe a coin toss in the bar after the match or best of 3 if we won it.

Or best of 5 if we won that

Yes great effort and we had our opportunities . Obviously things creep in with fatigue but staring at so much adversity they can certainly hold their heads up ... if they are able to !

Absolutely brilliant effort by everyone who has put their bodies on the line. It is unbelievable that for 78 minutes of that game we were right in it. Proud of them all

Superb effort from the team, full team and at home would have beaten them by 30+. Congrats RFL looks like you are going to get what you wanted.

You just have to worry for them next season if they can only just beat a busted up 1/2 strength team at home god help them against the likes of Widnes,Toulouse,Toronto,York,Bradford,Fev and Halifax

We couldn’t have done anymore . The obstacles put in our way leave a very sour taste for me . I feel our pockets been picked

The toss giving them gone advantage was big. I don’t think they’d have competed up here

Think your right David, if we were at home with a busted squad we’d have won that. But can only applaud the effort them guys have put in. Exceeded what I thought would happen.

As I've criticised the guy on here before gotta say enjoyed the Radio Cumbria commentary both last week and this. Well done John Gibson and knowledgeable summarisers Gary Thornton and Adie Gardener.

Trolls will troll. Best ignored, not worthy of a reply.

Shame about the result today i had my eye on it hoping for a worky win. I definitely think you guys would have been stronger in the championship next season than swinton. Best of luck for next year!

Well done lads u gave  your all, been a good season, thanks Leon, bod and sponsors for this season. Carn't wait to go again next year, hopefully get that next step up that ladder.

Hard luck but maybe not the end of the world,Town will be one of the favourites next season so maybe a winning team can build up the support base rather than struggling in what will be an ultra competitive Championship

How do you know it is a man cos he sounds more like a 12 year old dimwit.  In fact no dimwit is too good for this annoying person.

I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimension, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave Hadfield - Independent 25th August 1996.

Well done to Town BOD, Leon, his battered and bruised playing staff, backroom staff and supporters. The RFL put every obstacle in our way by sheer incompetence and every sly trick they could come up with. Roll on next season

What an effort by our lads that is, I couldn't be prouder yo be a town fan than I am today, even in defeat. So 15 played, at least 3 of them shouldn't have and we only list by the slightest of margins against a team in a league above after the last few weeks of incredibly tough away games. I look forward to hearing from those morons who keep telling us the players want to leave, won't play for Leon etcas for the corrupt pricks at the rfl, I hope they are ashamed when they see the blood, sweat and tears our boys put into that game, you don't deserve to have a club and players like that under your "leadership".
