I found the best possible thing you can do for weight loss and health is to have kids.

Nothing in life is more important than being the best parent you can possibly be... and that means educating your kids well, setting an example and showing them how to be fit and healthy.

Worked for me - I wasn’t massively overweight in my younger years but I was very unfit and unhealthy. That doesn’t mean I’m perfect now but I do try and set an example to my kids by taking them for exercise and eating healthily, which is good for both me and them.

And the best thing about doing it for your kids is there are absolutely no excuses for failure!

Also (and this may be a bit controversial) the missus has me eating a vegan diet for 6 days a week. Admittedly this wasn’t driven by concern for global warming (although I try to do my bit). However, it has made a difference to my health and well-being, despite being a sceptic. I still eat meat and dairy one at least one day a week which makes it more of a treat! So I’m not a very good vegan 😊

I dropped most meat and dairy from my diet in 2015-2016. It did help, I was in about the best shape of my life.

My scales have gone faulty.  Saying MAX instead of a weight....

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

Weighed in at 73.6kg today. That's 11.5kg off (25lbs) in exactly 3 months - target was 72kg by March so should make it. That would make me "not overweight" according to BMI.

My scales have fancy readings related to various types of body fat, muscle mass, bone density etc. I think it wants me to go lower than 72kg!!

This week, I have barely exercised and eaten terribly.

But abstained from alcohol and am down to 79.3kg. Stress might be helping.

156.5 for me.

First weights session of the year yesterday, and I ache in a way that feels like progress.

159.8lbs this week, up a touch but I also went up on the resistance work this week so was a little more sore than usual.  We have Lockdown 2: I'll Be Back! (Well, when they say it's okay) on the go at the moment here in Ontario so have more opportunity to do extra.

72.7 - I was briefly down to 72.1 but we've had a roast dinner and fish&chips this week.
