spanishknight Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 Some good young lads played for the Knights.
Nige Arro Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 Great all round performance, thought Johnson and sharp looked really good. All coming together nicely.
Nearenough Posted January 5, 2020 Author Posted January 5, 2020 Yep that was a really promising performance today, Johnson looked very lively, and I was impressed by our two new lads on the wings. Jubby looks the real deal. The trialists (no idea which was which) all looked very assured and showed a few nice touches. I'd be surprised if they don't progress. Suddenly we seem to have the strength in depth we will need in this league. Onwards ever onwards!
White Knight Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 Indeed, and all without Keinhorst, Whiteley, Brining and Dixon. Beer and York Knights. Proof the God loves us and wants us to be happy.
Simon Hall Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Love the reactions to pre-season games. Fev 12-4 down, 5 minutes left, their fans giving it "It's been a good run out, they don't mean anything these games, just a training exercise anyway, blow off a few cobwebs, there's loads of kids in the team" then they score a try to level it at the death and the drum comes out and they celebrate like they've won the cup. http://www.alldesignandprint.co.uk Printing & Graphic Design with Nationwide Service Programmes | Leaflets | Cards | Banners & Flags | Letterheads | Tickets | Magazines | Folders | Brand Identity plus much more Official Matchday Programme Print & Design Partner to York City Knights, Heworth ARLFC, York Acorn RLFC & Hunslet RLFC Official Player Sponsor of Marcus Stock for the 2020 Season

And dont forget the white lettering on the back of the Knights shirts, could hardly make the names out.

I'd gone before it was levelled up, frozen and bored, typical pre season friendly really, I only go as its revenue for the club. Fev had a decent side out 1st half and was pretty pleased with the new lads I saw, 2nd half was 10 kids with 3 senior players rotating basically, thought the kids did ok and stood up to a decent York pack.Thought Green went well for you and your halfs seemed to have a bit more structure than ours, but dont think either team will have done much attacking structure at this stage. Result irrelevant to coachs really, all about looking at a few things and bit of game time for the lads. Think both coachs will have been satisfied at were their teams are at this stage. York have a few out and fev have atleast half a dozen to come in, so should be great games again when it matters in the league.

Wow Fev fans celebrating a player scoring a try. What next? Simon I think its you making an issue out of nothing.
