Inevitably Catalans score again 18-24

They need to keep their noses in front for as long as possible. Catalans will be looking for a strong start to the second half based on Leigh's past showings.

This situation whereby the relegation favorite Leigh was in front of the number 2 team in Super League was clearly designed to strengthen the neighboring Big Brother Wigan’s position on the SL  ladder. I smell a rat.

As expected, the injection of emerging French superstar Artur Mourgue into the. contest has taken the game to a new level. Leigh just can’t compete with a young player of Mourgue’s quality.

Catalans going true to form here. Lazy stuff from them after dominating the second half.

The dragons have picked 9 Frenchmen in their matchday 17 so I hope for their sake they win or we’ll be back to 3 or 4 Frenchman next week.

Any chance you could let one Catalans/French RL thread pass without making the same comment?

Listened in part on BBC Radio Manchester and it seemed a great game with an exciting finish.  Can't be long now before Leigh win a game or two.

Nigel Wood once proposed a ridiculous points system where you got points for winning a half. Leigh would be laughing

It can only be against Wakefield or Salford, but even so it will not be enough to save them.

Gutsy Leigh. Poor 20 mins let us down!

It must be a concentration thing. It always seems to be a flurry of points leaked after half time.

A good effort by Leigh. All is not lost this season.

What brings you to such an outrageous conclusion? The season is half over and Leigh have yet to win a game.

Only the signing of Ben Barba, Michael Jennings, Bronson Xerri,  Curtis Scott, Tony Clubb, Krisnan Inu, and George Wiilliams within the next two weeks could possibly save Leigh from relegation — although at the cost of a skyrocketing local crime rate.

Thanks for your amazing insight

Why does any praise or encouragement for Leigh Centurions trouble you so much ?
