Wow, I listened to it on Radio Cumbria, lost it at 1/2 time had to rely on twitter. Good result up there although Whitehaven didn't help themselves.

I watched the the Workington match early they are going to be a hand full.

We were always the better side but they tried to make it physical towards the end of the first half. The introduction of Ward and Lillycrop put an end to that and then their guy got sent off for blatantly punching. After that we were never in any trouble. Great performance up here.

Maybe so but as you remember when we were up there we really struggled with them, we can't allow them to get a roll on, they looked good today.

Deserved to win but maybe the score line flattered us. We were better side all game but the sending off definitely made a massive difference. Last 20 minutes we were running free and playing some great stuff.

The fussy referee getting lots of grief from the locals, but a yellow card for a high tackle on Hooley instead of on report, in the first 20 and it’s maybe a different game.

The radio  commentator said the same it deserved punishing but thought it deserving of a yellow not red.

No, the red was deserved, the ref had no choice once the touchy had reported him. The one LD is talking about was Hooley getting pole axed and the ref didn't bin the guy. Take everything radio Cumbria say with a chunk or two of salt.

I wish BBC Radio Leeds had a similar attitude to commentary on their local sides!

When we were up there Roger we were terrible, and form did dip. Now we seem to have turned the corner, so I'm expecting us to start turning it on again. We are in a fantastic position at this stage of the season.

Thought the referee was poor yesterday you can clearly see a man tackled without the ball. Same for Batley first try the man was tackled in the air.

Not as poor as your discipline. The crowd took the attitude that he was biased (which is fine, that's what we pay for) but that seemed to get to the team. The two guys who were sent off really let their team down.

The muppet who got sent off has a history of letting teams down I hope he never plays for us again. King got a yellow probably out of frustration game was over by then.
