Hardly a mile but better yes. Totally blown off the park in the second half.

Fev went into experimental mode in the second half and went with Caleb Aekins and Jack Bussey at half back. Fair play to Wakefield as they were clearly desperate to win and were throwing four or five men into every tackle, they certainly dominated the second half.

A good workout for Fev today.

Thought Riley Dean really showed his class in the first half and with the break after the Wakefield knock on we should have been 18 up. Seemed like Evans overtook him for some reason. Second half pretty disjointed, not having another pivot on the bench didn't help but I hear it was a bit of a "disaster scenario" practice. Let's hope we don't get into that situation is all I'll say on that!

The fact that Long took Dean off at half time when we were winning 12-0 and played Bussey and Aekins at half back tells us he wasn't really bothered about the result, and that's how it should be in pre-season really even though it's nice to win. Wakefield clearly got a rocket up their backsides at half time as they were flying off the line and putting four or five into the tackle on multiple occasions, we didn't help ourselves in that second half by turning the ball over mainly through offloads which didn't come off (at least 3 or 4), but it will have done us good facing a team that were clearly very up for it in that second half.

Certainly a game of two halves. From where we were stood we only saw the teams twice in the whole game in that portion of the field.

Im Fev and im proud

They wouldn't have been able to. Commit those numbers in the tackle with our starting halves on, made it easy for them.  Very pleased with the run preseaon games. Roll on week Monday.  Barrow game if a £5 on Our League Saturday going to cheer them on!

What pleased me most is when we had a "proper" side  in the first half and not the pick and mix of the second we looked the better  team and the fact that in the first half we had nill points against  a team who were very similar if not better than the one that ran roughshod over Fax in the previous weeks first half

Funny thing on wesite we posted a very interesting team

Featherstone Rovers: Pickersgill, Briscoe, Hardcastle, Hankinson, Gale, Lacans, Dean, Cozza, Wildie, Lockwood, Day, Bussey, Davies. Interchanges: Hall, Kopczak, Fleming, Cooper, Leilua, Roberts.
