A decent turn of pace for a donkey, though.

CAS 18:10 HFC

Yes he did redeem himself a little bit there.

Discipline again.

To put into context just how bad we are, this has been one of our better performances this year, and we are still going to get beaten by 20+. Against Castleford...

I hope Chan grounded that, because it deserved a try.

Try given and converted. The visitors have had the occasional flash of form like that, but follow it up with a bombed chance by Reynolds.

So frustrating that we left it until it was too late to start playing like that. No coincidence that it happened with Houghton off the field too.

We need to look at what we did during that period and say this the way we need to play going forward. The tempo, the off the ball movement and the general effort and urgency was miles better than anything else we've produced this year.

Hull would be desperate if it wasn’t for sharing a football teams ground. In all honesty should be swapping places with Wakefield at the end of the season. Sport should always have the jeopardy of promotion and relegation

Reynolds didn't look 100% match fit he played in snatches. But he did join the plays up with some good passes. And Smith worked hard when he came on.A couple of good inside kicks from the ginger haired kid on the wing. You can't get relegated so it's work in progress nowt to lose by having a go like in the last 15 min.

Take football out of the conversation, which other major sports leagues has P + R? None of the US sports do, to my knowledge, or the NRL. I’m not saying P + R is right or wrong just pointing something out.

I dont disagree, if we finish bottom we deserve to go down (although you are talking as though Hull are nailed on to finish bottom which I dont think will necessarily be the case). It is what it is though. The IMG grading debates have been done to death already.

What I will say though in defence of my club, is that despite the safety of our IMG grading we are at least showing some ambition to get back towards the upper end of the game again. Appointing a DOR, a new coach who won't be cheap, marquee players etc.

They have accepted that this isn't good enough. New investment is coming in. And they are trying to turn around our fortunes. It would have been easy to just keep doing the bare minimum knowing that our SL status is secure for the foreseeable future.

Big tackle count advantage to Cas at HT and I fully expected Hull to fade in the last 20. The hooter only saved Cas from further discomfort so well done Hull. And Cas might have learned more from the last 20 than if they had bullied a tiring team. So yeah, pros and cons for both sides I think.

1. We're not bottom.

2. The football team don't own the ground. If it wasn't for the rugby team, it wouldn't have been built.

3. Even if it was their ground, so what? Seems a cheap point to make.

And that is precisely what makes the comp a total shambles.

If the club hadn't done what they are doing now, how many season passes would they have sold next season. Even for the most hardest fan their comes a time when enough is enough, if FC had not taken these steps you mention they would have gone further into the abyss.

I wish I had a £ for every post I see claiming City own the stadium.

Entertaining game. My choice of the 3 Sky offerings.

Hull look like they're improving in some areas. They looked better with more energy once Houghton had gone off. If they can stop silly defensive errors late in the tackle count they may see some better results. Can't see FC finishing above 11th now with the gap Cas opened up after that game.

Both sides are poor in defence and lack a creative final play. It'll be interesting to see where they are this time next year once their respective plans are in full swing.

Well, it may not have been a game of the highest technical standard, but was a well contested match with lots of good moments and was still competitive to the end. Glad I chose to watch this match rather than the other two. Castleford look safe already from finishing last as both Hull and London look unlikely to get many more wins based on current performances and with a bit more consistency I think Castleford could surprise quite a few other sides.

So frustrating. We had them trapped more than once with a great kick chase backed up with some excellent defending then gave at all away with penalties late in the tackle count. At least one of which led to a Castleford try.

Think Wigan have got themselves a player there. I've been really impressed with the energy and workrate he's brought and his attitude has been first class.
