Central funding

What's Towns fans reaction  to the announced Central funding.   Town look like they will receive between 18 and 24 k next year. Unless promoted I which case there's a 50k bonus.   Town and other league 1 clubs likely competing with Dewsbury and Haven who each receive it 85k.  The whole thing is a joke .  From top to bottom its almost designed to create an uneven playing field.

Oh for the days of no central funding and all teams treated equally.

Pre Sky all the clubs paid a percentage levy on gate receipts,and it was then shared equally between all clubs.

Cant imagine SL clubs sharing a mouldy crust nowadays!

It's all wrong how it's worked out apparently if all championship and league 1 clubs took an equal share it would be 73k each but that will never happen

I'd hardly call spending it on 6-7 overseas players then not being able to pay them or anyone else later on in the season wasting it, would you??

There hasn't been any announcement. You are basing this on a rumour reported by a bloke called Mick Gledhill (The GameCaller) who is a Bradford fan who does a bit of local radio. Anyone who is aware of Mick knows that he has a long history of getting things completely and utterly wrong, and only recently was accused by a referee of telling downright lies about something he reported as absolute fact on his Facebook page.

I personally do not think that haven will go down that route again,I believe haven will go down the same has town are doing by looking for the best locals(if there is any wanting go down the pro game), but these days the young ones like to go out on a Saturday night which is their perogative.I have always said that the best locals will also need a few older heads to be on the field to lead them around,I also think a few lads from both teams will be switching sides has per usual depending on the pay rates they are being offered, swings and roundabouts come to mind. UTT

Have these amounts been confirmed anywhere, would love to see an official release with how much all clubs have received in central funding over the last 20 years and what they have to show for it
