BarraFan Posted September 29, 2024 Posted September 29, 2024 Hope the hide and seek champion B. Walker gets his contract terminated! Worst player on the field today, he does absolutely nothing! 1 2
walneyite Posted September 29, 2024 Posted September 29, 2024 (edited) Tee Ritson back with maloudi could be interesting and Edene gebbie (Whitehaven) looked good… Edited September 29, 2024 by walneyite

Worst player on the field today, he does absolutely nothing! You must have been at a different game to me. His inside pass set up the first try and kicked well all game. The 2 worst kicks of the first half came from Johnston who I thought was pretty poor and I was glad when he never came out for the second half. 2 1

Give over. he’s not a natural half but has done enough to keep us up. let’s see how we go in the off l season with new signings and he might end up back in the pack. 2

I've been attending Barrow games for 20 years and for me he is one of the most consistent players I've ever watched. Throws his body into collision exactly the same whether it's super league opposition or league 1 opposition. Rarely missed game due to injury, that doesn't mean he wasn't injured it just means he was that tough he played through it. After watching the game today he still has so much to offer and hope he sticks on another season. No mention of his retirement at the game today unless it was announced at the awards ? 1
UpTheRaiders Posted September 29, 2024 Posted September 29, 2024 Cressy swept up all of the major awards tonight fully deserved he's at least 8/10 every single week 6

Raider91 Posted October 1, 2024 Author Posted October 1, 2024 Cresta post match interview, alludes to a new half (bishop) and a couple from up the coast coming (teare). Hints at Brad Walker moving to 13 next season. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0jttzpk 1
raiders_1875 Posted October 1, 2024 Posted October 1, 2024 Need to get moving and get players offered new contracts before other clubs come sniffing around. Can't afford to be on the back foot/slow ahead of next season, especially with the potential quality of the team coming up. 1
ghost of uncle fester Posted October 1, 2024 Posted October 1, 2024 Normally this time of year 90% of clubs recruitment/retention for following season is already done as clubs/players can talk from may I think ,it's just tactical as to when they disclose anything ,it's a long off season NO RUSH 1

Bishop a lot cheaper from what I heard
Churchill Drivers Posted October 3, 2024 Posted October 3, 2024 From his time at Haven Bishop was a cut above Carter. It’s just keeping him injury free. 1
Rod77 Posted October 3, 2024 Posted October 3, 2024 1. Cresswell 2. Shaw/Teare 3. Costello 4. Broadbent/Toal 5. Bullman 6. Bishop 7. Johnston 8. Gillam 9. Wood 10. Ramon Silva 11. Charlie 12. Ryan King 13. Brad Walker 14. Smith 15. Tom Walker 16. Tom Wilko 17. ? If the rumours are true on who we are meant to of signed. Expecting the likes of Burke and greenwood are on there way out, maybe a few more middles. Would be interested to see other peoples 17. Think this team has the ability to be a play off team.

I think Delaine Gittens Bedward is worth having in the squad, he did well when he played. Greenwood got a lot better back end of the season. I'm going to guess Burke will retire. Seemed to be injured constantly. Max Clarke seemed to be very in and out. I think he's better out wide, he seems a lot easier to tackle face on but breaks tackles when he is on the outside shoulder of the defender. 2
