guest from down under
I understand the lads in a bad way , all the best wishes from me, it is awful when a player gets badly hurt and lets hope that this situation has the best outcome that is possible . What especially disturbs and concerns me is that i have been told unofficially that there is not one specialist consultant available in the whole area on duty to see him . If this is correct the powers that be want a good kicking to the gonads . all the best johnny .

Bulldog Days
According to a Club source, his ankle bone had snapped and cut through his skin. Morphine was administered m and I believe he was taken to LGI. Best wishes to Jonny, and hope he is not in too much distress.

Blind side johnny
Best wishes to the lad. It won't be a speedy recovery but I hope it is a complete and successful one. 9' oller
Looked like a tib fib compound fracture and ankle dislocation. Tony/battler was physically shaken after witnessing it head on. Hope the club now sign him as he wont be going anywhere. Keegans paper money may help jonny too. Get well soon johnny. And glen Morrison get some decorum 'Shaw cross juniors, Birkenshaw, Mirfield, Heckmondwike Panthers, Stainland Stags and then the Heavy woolen donkeys... 9' oller
We in the 9 hole didnt appreciate the rams loitering under the posts when being asked by the ref to move away. After the ball boys shielded injury site. Then morro got them running through drills under the terrace and started chirping back at the crowd. Match commissioner then turned up. After the ball boys shielded injury site. Then morro got them running through drills under the terrace and started chirping back at the crowd. Match commissioner then turned up. Rubbish. Glenn came on to take the players away from Johnny while he was receiving treatment. Matty Wildie immediately signalled for help from the touchline when it became apparent there was a problem and the Rams medical and coaching staff helped throughout his treatment. If fans were shouting at Glenn just for moving his players away from the injury then I'm not surprised he responded. Any views on Luke Blake clapping Luke Adamson's injury when he was dumped on the floor after the referee had called held? Tom

DavidM
Well that's very sad news . Every time we play Batley the first name we mention as a threat is JC. Always one to watch and a player with the respect of opponents and their fans . All the best to him

Kevin Nicholas
JC eventually & thankfully has had his ankle put back in place and will undergo an op at Pinderfields tomorrow. Once bones sorted he has private health cover to get him to full recovery. This was a bad injury and will not know the full extent of injury until it can be properly assessed by experts. Initially Carl our physio asked Rams players to shield him from view as it was not a pleasant sight. No problem with anyone connected with Dewsbury at all. This was just a very upsetting incident which caste a shadow on a good game but we will all now look to support Johnny, his partner Sarah and their child . This has to an extent put dampers on a great weekend. More news will appear on website when know more.

phildog
Never rains but it pours eh? We go into the 8's on a high (ish), come away from Worky with nothing except another injury, then come away from today with nothing and a second injury. We now have to concentrate on beating both Hunslet and Doncaster and possibly Whitehaven. Someone earlier said to sign JC as, were he to have been considering an offer elsewhere, that will probably be withdrawn as it could be a lengthy injury and rehab, if the injury is as reported it won't be a quick fix. Yes, give him some security at least.

Why do you always have to come up with such rubbish, simply to have a swipe at Dewsbury? Read your Chairman's comments about the situation. Perhaps, one day, you will make a useful comment. As a fan, I wouldn't wish an injury on anyone and you have to feel for JC. Until his injury he was showing us how to play rugby. I do hope he has a complete recovery. Legs, Dews, Legs. 9' oller
An immediate drill to keep his players primed stinks of disrepect. LINNERS
An immediate drill to keep his players primed stinks of disrepect. There was a huge amoumt of space for his players to congregate It's already been pointed out that the players were told to shield JC and when they moved away to warm up they weren't exactly on top of him. Morrison was just coming over to the crowd to give an explanation as he wasn't in wrong but he didn't have to come over. Although he did nothing wrong he had probably just made a rod for his own back with his previous radio comments, or non comments!
9' oller
Maybe its just me and the majority of batley fans that were horrified by our lad suffering a possible career ending injury. Gruesome doesn't describe it. Tony mascot was nearly sick. Having rival able bodied players loitering including the tackler whilst gawping on wasnt cool 'Shaw cross juniors, Birkenshaw, Mirfield, Heckmondwike Panthers, Stainland Stags and then the Heavy woolen donkeys...
