What's amazing is when you haven't heard something for a while you can forget how good it is and how much you liked it. I've got a few of these on the boil at the moment.

I've been obsessed by that Genesis clip since watching the programme.

Yes I have played it a lot since also. The musicianship is excellent as well as the actual performance.

I like Firth of Fifth and Dusk by Genesis also.

There is a great live performance of Unchained Melody on You Tube by the Righteous Brothers also.

I like this thread. It is a lot less contentious than the Political or expansion threads ☺

I agree about that live version Niels and I like a few others because it's such a great song.

And I come to this one for the very same reason. People seem to be at their best when it comes to the music they love and at their worst when choosing sides for almost everything else, I've no idea why.

I'm sat here in Calais coffee in one hand and RL World in the other, and listening to:

And Tout va bien despite  the number of times RL World seems to find a way to mention Kick and Clap. But please don't discuss this last bit at all as it will give the mods apoplexy. And remember "a life without music (and TGG, sneeky eh?) is a mistake!"

That album cover! She's made up like an Oompa-Loompa, and there are two different spellings of "because". :D

I could have put this on Best Cover thread but that would be cheating. Will Oldham covering his own song Death To Everyone which he recorded under his more famous stage name Bonnie Prince Billy.

The music threads are among the best things on the forum.

Today I will be mainly listening to The Clash. 15 years today since Joe Strummer’s death, an individual and a band who actually changed my life.

Another one from Will Oldham this time under his Bonnie Prince Billy moniker. Much better live is our Will, he gives this some real welly from about halfway in.

good songs with intelligent thought behind them.

Steady you'll have Martyn Sadler back accusing music of taking itself too seriously yet again!

" ( You Are My ) Soul And Inspiration " was one of the best things The Righteous Brothers recorded.
