You have no idea how much it snows where I live...I live in an area technically known as as a 'snow belt'....one time it snowed heavily, lightly for40 days/nights.   usually have to shovel off the roof 4 times in the winter so it don't collapse...no kiddin!

Presumably you have staff to do this.

You're talking to one man.

Well, i didn't think i was communicating with a pogie!

Your not...read my comment and interpret it literally...there are not alot of people where I live so lots of times I'm just by myself...none around to help...I'm literally just one (1) man.   I don't live in a city with homeless people and stuff...workmen are hard to find.

Have you been into the Screech?  Are you from a place called 'Yorkshire'?l

Not since the treatment.

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

I saw two flakes of snow today!  One almost landed!  We bought lots of bread and milk just in case, the local shops were in panic mode.

I am in the process of digging a pond in my mum’s garden at the moment so I hope the ground doesn’t freeze for another week or so otherwise that is going to be a very difficult job!

We have warnings about wind - although it's looking like being the same speed it is when we don't get warnings (c.60-70mph gusts) - but looking like any snow or rain is going to be to the north of us.

Thus, I will be crabbing to either Eastbourne or Rye over the weekend but the dread north of Tunbridge Wells can wait.

I'm glad our high quality gritters are now out in action to help prevent and mitigate this chaos.

Put the car in reverse and hit the gas hard as I could as I pounded into the giant snowbank at the end of the laneway...barely made it through and hope I didn't damage the car...shoveled the laneway three times yesterday....the big lug is back from university and said he would plow it...better be done by lunch or there is going to be big trouble!....wife is worried that i might be too hard on the lad!

Ah the joys of winter!

Forecasts I’ve seen suggest it will get as far as the M4 then turn to rain.

It's Canada, isn't snow just one of those things like eating and breathing?

I spent one too-long winter exercise in Medicine Hat in Alberta.  That was "fun".  My lot had it nice and comfy in our permanently overheated arctic-modified Landrovers but others were out in it virtually all day.

Get the household and the estate staff out pronto.

You are all in it together.
