gingerjon
5 jobs everyone should have at some point I always judge other people by how they treat waiters. Futtocks
... and bar staff. And indeed shop assistants. There are some very rude, arrogant, stuck up themselves people out there. I'm with you guys on this. I've seen people at my local Sainsbury really being nasty to some teenage boy or girl till-operator. Especially as the staff at that branch are, in my experience, professional and friendly to a level I'd be surprised to find in any shop, let alone a supermarket. Mind you, I do live in London... Bar staff? Well, they are Australian. And of course, waiters have more of a chance to get their own back, if you know what I mean. Although you can be too nice - once when I worked a hotel bar I was kept up by one of the residents until 3.30AM, after he had been the only customer since midnight, at which point he declared that he couldn't stay up any longer 'to keep me company' and went to bed. As anyone who has the misfortune of following me on twitter will have discovered I have become something of a convert to handball in the past couple of weeks and as they were in the first match I properly followed the Norwegian women are 'my' team in the current world championship. I think I chose well. We're going to spank some Dutch ladies later today. Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.
