The game was suspended due to a injury to Danny Jones. It has now been abandoned.

I have no more details.

If anyone knows anything can you please post it.

BBC (local) are reporting that he has (or is) receiving CPR at the ground.

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

I reffed Danny in the juniors, a good player and a thoroughly nice lad.

Hoping he's ok.

Just on Radio Leeds, "London Ambulance Service say they were called to attend due to a player in cardiac arrest".

 

Let's all hope and pray Danny pulls through and makes a full recovery.

I was at the game and didn't see the injury that Danny went off with although I noticed him on the bench having a concussion check.  About five minutes later he collapsed and an ambulance was immediately called.  As EssexRL said, there was a very quick response, first from the paramedic in a car, then from the Air Ambulance, and then from two other ambulance crews.  

 

Thoughts with his friends, family and team mates.

North Wales Crusaders has just tweeted the news.  Staff and players knew Danny Jones.  It's hard to imagine them just taking information from Twitter feeds and the like although I suppose it's possible.

I was presuming Chris Irvine would be a good source, as a journalist he should know the 'rules'.

I'm not meaning to pick on yours especially out of all the posts removed but it's a good one to base this on:

 

There are very good reasons why people should just back off.  What if there is genuinely bad news and the club can't get hold of his family.  Wouldn't you rather just give them the decency to be told first rather than just being able to get in early with condolences?

 

A plea to the forum, just do the decent thing and hold back until something official comes out.

Again, with respect, I think social media is hardly a credible source.

 

We need to respect family and friends and comment when we know exactly what's happened.
