The best games I have seen Ellis play are when he has been the main half seems to thrive rather than playing of the sidekick of Brough/Chase etc! And ups his game.

Just said the same thing to a mate, Ellis seems to relish being the main man.

Wigan's half's are severely lacking, just doing nothing at all.

They seem to be playing to a game plan that is failing, you need then a half with the bottle to change it or do the unexpected. Smith should be more more creative in his thinking and throw the plan out of the window.

Wigan don't have a plan b or the halves to play heads up / creative rugby,

How was that not a try? Downward pressure

Tough call, no try for me.

Close call, then Manfredi scores up at the other end almost immediately.

There was almost the exact same thing last night.

The interesting thing for me with this one is they didn't use the refs head cam. It looked as if Bentham couldn't see the grounding but called no try, that is wrong. The referee cannot disallow a try because he didn't see the actual grounding. If he couldn't see it he should have give a try and then asked the VR to see if he could disallow it.
