AlanE Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 There's talk of Penky coming back to Leigh. Contracts don't seem to be worth the paper they are written on, if that's the case. Also talk of Ridyard coming back (another year of his contract to run at Fev, although they've been told to take a pay cut) and Hock. (who is supposed to be contracted to Barrow!)
wonderofwood Posted November 17, 2018 Posted November 17, 2018 Fieldhouse from Barrow is on his way here

And how do you think leigh could possibly afford to buy anybody’s contract out????? They can’t, simple as that. Probably in the worst financial state of any pro club. So let’s not start with bs. the futures bright, the futures blue and white
wonky Posted November 18, 2018 Posted November 18, 2018 Sammut not on his way to town so that’s another daft rumour put to bed the futures bright, the futures blue and white
DavidM Posted November 18, 2018 Posted November 18, 2018 Should be a no brainer to play SL with London , it’s what he’s wanted for years

If they settle the two players' contracts, they will have as much funding as other mid-table Championship, and League one clubs. They haven't gone into administration. (yet!) Penky is a Leigh lad and may just prefer not to travel up to the Cumbrian coast three or four times a week. Let's see how it pans out.

Nobody would be able to stop him if it was a full time assistant player coach job

To lose penky at this stage would be a disaster and a major set back. Why should we suffer because leigh are a shambles.
Newtothis Posted November 18, 2018 Posted November 18, 2018 Don’t believe anything until it’s released in the media and confirmed This time of year is the worst for rumours

DavidM Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 Yes , he can . And we can still say no . Then I guess it’s up to him how he reacts . Hunslet did this with Flanagan and it turned them upside down

Town Army Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 What if he never even signed that contract last year?
Cumbria RL Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 You have signed Ryan Fieldhouse from Barrow and a Hooker from Hunslet.
