Ran/walked 48.1 miles yesterday in 12hrs. I am not mad; doing the Montane Spine Challenger race next month... 108 miles up the Pennine Way. I take it back; I am mad.

My feet are in tatters today.

Pfft... its not the Spine race if its not mid winter.... 😄

Looks like a new FKT will be set on the Pennine way today.  Hopefully that's a marker for you to pace too.  😝

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

158.4lbs this week.  After a break getting past the difficulties before starting up again nearly always coincides with an increase.  Painkillers, holding onto water as well as less disciplined eating.  There may or may not have been an entire sleeve of custard creams scarfed in a matter of seconds coming back from the shops 😆

Bunch of guys from the support group started doing the Conqueror Challenges as a team, 17 of us finished the 4000km Pacific Crest Trail in just over 4 weeks.  On with Route 66 now, great to keep us all active with some positive competition.

Signed up for a 5K race for July, so hopefully get a few practice runs at that distance under my belt by then.  Fingers crossd anyway.

Ha...

Really disappointed in John Kelly; really thought I had a chance of beating 61hrs but 58hrs??! Never... 😛

65.9kg yesterday and today. Picked up a couple of minor niggles last week so took a break from running, ate too much cheese and went up to 68kg last Sunday. Managed to start running again this week and went back on the sensible food intake and bingo, lowest weight since I started the regime.

I've now walked or run for 221 days in a row.

I got a reminder on facebook of some old photos from 2010 just before I started the original weight loss. I was 106kg + so I've lost over 40kg. I looked horrendous. I've lost nearly 20kg since October.

Rye 10 Mile on Sunday. Covid compliant waves during a 90 minute 'start' time which meant that, as one of the earliest to depart, was almost back at the finish line as the final waves were setting off. Fair to say it was a challenging course but felt really good to be 'in control' through the whole run. The watch says I did the 10 miles in 1:29:30, the official time for the course my watch thinks is a little bit longer than 10 miles was 1:30:05. Both massive improvements on my 97 minutes personal best from a year or so ago in Canterbury.

Managing about 30 minutes most days in the gym/garage, although being in my own is making me lazy.

157lbs this week, down 1.4 from last week.  Starting to get back out running of a fashion this week, not much focused on distance just completing.  Two 15 intervals runs, one minute on, one minute off and one 20 interval run, 7:20 and 7:30 m/km which is goodm for  me at any rate!

It’s entirely diet related. Running and health otherwise is the best it’s been for ages but I will keep shovelling the least good for me stuff into my gob.

Got quite the surprise yesterday, I'm back to where I started on the 5k program on Runkeeper and did my fastest 5k (interval running) since starting with the app.  5.14k at 6.47min/km and 34.55 min total.  I did several full 5k's this time last year before the COVID stuff really took a hold but nothing like this pace.  Really pleased with how I'm coping, every time I think I can't then there's a bit more that can be done now.  Nice feeling.  Now there's the thoughts of maybe a 10k or even a half marathon!  The fact that I'm even thinking these things is just bizarre, almost seems like it's someone else but I'll take it!

After a weekend of too much food my weight's up to 66.8 but the running is back after a brief calf muscle issue. I hope to knuckle down a bit this week and eat better.

78.8kg.

Still low and from not eating properly rather than fitness.

I'm aiming to flatten out for a bit, keeping below 67kg

158.4lbs this week.  Got the bracing retuned this week, a little weight removed and stronger hinge springs so going to give that a test out tonight.  Did my second longest interval run on Tuesday night, just shy of 6k.  Getting there!  Got a virtual 5k planned for Canada Day on July 1st.
