The draw was always fixed so that the amateur teams drew a semi pro team at round 3 stage, so made it very difficult for the amateurs to progress beyond the 3rd round stage. It is now an open draw, therefore amateur teams can  play each other at round 3, therefore being able to progress to round 4 a bit more easily.

So it isn't the same stage as before, the amateur  teams get to round 4 on merit.

I don't follow. Championship clubs used to come in at Round 3. Now they come in at Round 4.

Siddal 10 West Hull 6 FT

Not the team they were?

Fantastic defensive effort by Siddal who played a lot of the game in their own half

Saw the 2nd half of the Mayfield v Crusaders match, I thought they were much too strong for their hosts, missed the first half because of an assessment day at the local holiday camp.

West hull win easy for me, siddal no were near the team they once was

Foolish to write off any Siddal team. Its amazing that they are still such a strong amater team when you look at the amount of Ex Siddal players playing in the Pro Game like Morgan Smithies, Riley Dean, Kruise Leeming, Tom Holroyd,  Tyler Dupree, Niall Evalds etc. But having over 350 players and 16 teams alongside a well run club probably ensures that they remain such a strong team over such a long time. Would not surprise me to see them beat a League 1 team if they get one in the next round.

Our game with Skolars if off due to them not being able to get here by train. Possible rearrangement for next Sunday and their game vs workie in the league will have to be rearranged as cup takes priority.

I wonder whether any other games will be off tomorrow, and whether OurLeague will be able to show a different game. Bit of a pain for any Workington fans that might have booked travel/hotels for next weekend though.

I'm glad it's off the weather is horrendous here now so the game probably would have been a poor one with people choosing to stay away. You're right about the workie fans though

The ties at Keighley and Workington have been postponed, on safety grounds. Keighley v Newcastle likely to be rearranged for next Sunday. No new date yet for Workington v West Bowling.

West Wales tweet their tie with Underbank goes ahead.

Presumably Underbank travelled yesterday, probably makes sense to try and get the game on.

West Wales report deteriorating weather. A second ground inspection is planned for noon.

Hope the weather is better south of Leeds than it is south of Sheffield

Hunslet just tweeted that the roads round the ground are fine and there's just one puddle on the pitch. Admission reduced to £10 and they're hoping supporters of other clubs will come and watch their game instead.
