DavidM Posted August 16, 2022 Author Posted August 16, 2022 Can’t believe his mother babied him just coz he had a knife sticking out of his chest . Or I’m dreaming this whole tangent

Jack Wighton's versatility should ensure him a spot. With Holmes and Mitchell in the squad Edwards is not needed as back up to Teddy.

However off form or inconsistent I’d have Fifita in a 24 man squad because he’s so freakish and capable if you need something extra , even if it’s intermittent

The suggested squad on the whole looks good but with DCE, Hunt and Cleary as more classic 7's, if Munster were unavailable there would be an imbalance in the halves with no significant running threat. Wighton offers cover in the centre and at 6 so I would add him over Edwards. "The history of the world is the history of the triumph of the heartless over the mindless." — Sir Humphrey Appleby. graveyard johnny Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 with the wc just round the corner our biggest worry has to be a lot of the names been put forward for eng on this forum are either currently injured- way off form or past their peak I know Bono and he knows Ono and she knows Enos phone goes thus
graveyard johnny Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Selwyn Cobbo could be a good bet for the wc top try scorer if selected - just watching him scoring for fun against the knights I know Bono and he knows Ono and she knows Enos phone goes thus

He is a line breaking and tackle busting machine. Plus the highest number of errors of any NRL winger so its rocks or diamonds, but never boring. DavidM Posted August 25, 2022 Author Posted August 25, 2022 Josh Schuster makes himself unavailable for Samoa to concentrate on 2023
Spotty Herbert Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 I am slightly surprised that nobody has mentioned Nicho Hynes to be in the Aussie squad on the basis that he can cover every position from 1 to7. The Oz pack can't compete with the NZ one and for once NZ has a reasonable spine (Smith, Hughes, Brown, Manu) and that combination might be enough to make up for a less inspiring three quarter line.

StandOffHalf Posted August 30, 2022 Posted August 30, 2022 I wouldn't mind seeing Lewis Murphy in white - erm blue. Might be good to have a dash of youth on the flank. The kid looks to have a bucket-load of confidence at the moment.
