Surely Shaun lane has to be very close to the side.

He’s really been in tremendous form . His bending the line and offloading has been a primary threat for Parra

Most coaches would definitely select lane over young but Meninga has a Canberra bias so young is basically guaranteed.

Cumbria v Jamaica at Workington 7 October

That will be fantastic, let's hope most of the out of county players are available and should have a decent team

He'd probably have to pay his own way and wash his own kit. Wales RL is not in great shape to foot the bit for Frizell.

RLWC have chartered two (maybe 3) prepaid flights from the Southern Hemisphere

looks like Joey Manu (prob one of the best players in the world at the min) is in huge danger of missing out after yesterday's injury playing for the Roosters against Souths- a crushing blow for NZ and their hopes not to mention the WC as the long-anticipated spectacle gets nearer.

I know Bono and he knows Ono and she knows Enos phone goes thus

Has Lomax been declared available? His injury has been managed by Saints but I can’t say I’ve ever seen anything that confirms he’s definitely playing in the World Cup. I’d suspect he would go through it as it’s, likely, his last World Cup.

He will definitely be there for the world cup, It’s only a partial calf tear and he should be back within 3-6 weeks. If he’s unlucky he might be unavailable for the first match against Lebanon though.

lets hope so - the tournament  is already without turbo tom another of the worlds top 5 backs - we need as many of these top stars on show as possible

Harry Newman just been on Sky talking to John Wells saying he is 100% confident that he will be fit for the World Cup and that Shaun Wane knows this. Good news for England

A short video here of Newcastle Knights coach Adam O'Brien discussing the form of Dominic Young today (after another two try performance).

Right at the end, an interesting line as he says "I know he has been picked in the England squad'.

A few days ago in the column of a Knights journalist it was indicated that Dom has been told he'll likely be selected for England, the journalist in question is usually (but not always) well informed so I imagine there's probably some form of fire behind this smoke.

It`s being reported over here that Joey Manu will only be out for 2 to 3 weeks. Probably means he won`t play for the Roosters again this year but be fresh and ready to go for the W.C.

Great news for the Kiwi`s and the Cup in general, the bloke`s a super star that makes exciting things happen and everyone better around him.

Article is paywalled but to save you the trouble, Dom has now officially confirmed that England is his first choice internationally and that he has now held positive talks with Shaun Wane in respect of his likelihood to be picked in the England squad.

States it was a hard decision as he wanted to represent Jamaica alongside his brother but he is English first and foremost.

Tremendous , and I always thought it was a no brainer . He’s flying , it’s a World Cup on home soil and you just don’t know where you’ll be in 4 or 5 years . Grasp the opportunity and we have one here and now

I think I'd still have Burgess and Marshall ahead of Young for the left wing, if I'm being honest. He's definitely another option though, having been one of the few bright sparks in a miserable season for Newcastle.
