Agree with RR. Promotion would be great but not easy with Doncaster and Hunslet in good form. If we don't make it then we have full close season to keep/recruit players who the board and new coach went to work with. (Half the Widnes team if the rumours on their forum are to be believed).

Having said that we can still go up this year so let's get behind the team starting tonight.

Looking forward to the hospitality lounge tonight. Will be excellent having a place to mix with fellow Roughyeds and having a few beers knowing that the club will make some money out of it. Setting off soon.

Quality 60 minute performance optimised by JJ who was immense at times.

Paga, JJ, Rawsthorne & Ridy 👏👏

Agreed. We let them back in at 12-0 up but soon and strongly pulled away. Then as we tired and Ridyard went off we lost a bit of direction (no surprise - it being the second tough game in four days) partly due to a few mysterious decisions by the ref, who otherwise did pretty well given that he looked about 10 years old.  Credit to Workington who fought to the end - but we were the better, tougher and more controlled side for most of the game, Hirst was very strong. We now have a bit of size and athleticism and resilience in the forwards which has long been needed. Keeping Paga on the pitch is important for the play offs. Fantastic to see so many there; lots of returnees it appeared. Lots of kids too. Brilliant night; a real success. If we could bring the scoreboard from Whitebank that would be useful, there being no screen or board that I could see. And surely it's not beyond the club almost a quarter of the way through the 21st century, to find a loudspeaker system that is a) loud enough and b) you can tell what the heck is being said, All in all a great night; people queueing to get in!! A promising sign for the future both on and off the pitch. Onwards and upwards. (Rumours too of various ex-Widnes 'quality players on the agenda.) Onwards and upwards!

There are two scoreboards in each corner behind the goals at the end as part of the digital advertising

Well done the whole team behind the Yeds. Like Fordy said "Oldham is a sleeping giant" and last night went some way proving that statement.

The attendance showed 1282! The Joe Royle Stand holds about 2500 and it looked full. Did they leave out the tickets from the cancelled game?

The Yeds,  tired later on, having played at weekend and with some strange refereeing decisions allowed Workington back into the game. But the Yeds defence, attacking flair, from all over the park and importantly their total commitment to the cause was great to see. Looking forward to the playoffs, we have nothing to fear.

Great to be back at Boundary Park and great performance by the team, felt like the soul of the club had been reborn and now hopefully after all the dark times its onwards and upwards although lets try not to run before we can walk.

The pie & peas was superb by the way, I'll certainly be having that again if that's an option in the future 😁

Attendance though of 1282?????? Seems a bit suspect to me, I'd have said close on 1800 - 2000 based on how full the Joe Royle stand was
