This is our current squad. Does anyone know if any players have a 2024 contract? Perhaps Ellis Longstaff and Dan Smith?

Nowt on website when we signed them but would have thought having paid  a fee for ellis he'd get more than a three month contract

Think from our current squad 7-8 of them would/could step up

cherry picking from the bottom super league sides will hopefully be enough to stay up if we do go up and keep building, we’re not gunna do a Leigh and be one of the powerhouses in the first year it’ll be a re build again

At least he has pace.odd mistake in him but he would be a decent signing.

Agree very good on his day but occasionally has a gaz gale game  dropping the ball both players could do well in super league with fev. Would defo sign him he can be a match winner.

There was an article on rugbyleaguehub suggesting both St Helens and Wigan were interested in him, so we might face an uphill struggle to get him.

And if he’s under contract at Wakey, they would be looking for a substantial transfer fee. Sadly, I think he’s not an option for us.

Depends on what his contract states in terms of having a relegation get-out clause. His name gets mentioned on just about every SL forum as a potential target though, young, British (so non-quota) middle, they're at a premium.

I though when relegated the current contracts were null and void to protect the team being relegated having to fulfil contracts they can't meet.

I'm sure I'll think of something funny to say soon.
