they’ve done so many good things, with some superb recruitment. Alas, there probably wouldn’t have been and issue if they could have stayed at the Willows. Hopefully something can be sorted out for them, to survive and keep their rightful place in SL.

Of course they had some superb recruitment - THEY DON'T PAY THEIR RENT!

They are a sham club, with an unsustainable business model.

The fan ownership ploy was simply to try and see the season out and hope the council would save them YET AGAIN!

They have no right to be in SL.

Not a fan then?

No, not at all.

I feel for the fans. Just like the Bulls fans previously, they have been taken for mugs.

The club knew exactly what they were doing.

I hope the local community rally round and make the council aware of how much the club means to the city.

What, have a whip round maybe?

Or attend games in their tens of thousands?

Not a fan of any club with this business model.

It only ever ends in tears.

It's unsustainable.

The folly of the fan ownership fundraiser was highlighted at the time - it's one-off banked and spent.

I blame Sale Sharks they are like vultures. Look at what they did to Stockport County 20 years ago.

Sharks like vultures? What's next, Harlequins like Broncos? Centurions like Leopards?

Aye they are not very popular with some County fans.

Wasn't an option was it?  Having to sell up back then to pay outstanding debts was where it all started to go pear shaped.

Wasn't much different to Wakey (I'll not name the guy) selling off Belle Vue under similar circumstances.  At least two subsequent near bankruptcies for us until Carter came along.  Relegation in the end.

They’ve been unsustainable for 50 years tbf, but have managed to sustain themselves.

They haven't run this business model for 50 years.

It's gone this way since they took on a stadium deal they couldn't afford.

He mentions 8% ticket price - that is dirt cheap for stadium  rental and profit on secondary sales is low

Don't they write as taking an EXTRA 8%?

Anyway, I've worked it out. It's just a ruse to get visits to their website.

This bit cracks me up - "there has been a developing narrative that the Club is not paying its way, when in reality the unfavourable terms of the current tenancy agreement is extracting from the Club’s key income sources, on top of rent."

YOU HAVE NEVER PAID YOUR FULL RENT!

FWIW, this press release is just an attempt to blackmail the council into paying more aid.

Will it work?

Hopefully.

Hopefully.

And then what?

And what of the Salford tax payers?

And what of the increasing rent-debt (also underwritten by Salford Council)?

And what of their ongoing mega-signings?

Did someone from Salford run over Dboys dog or something?

Yes they did.

And I'm still waiting for them to pay the vet's bill.

In truth, I'm ###### off that the "game" has looked the other way whilst watching another Bulls-style implosion!

More like memories of Bulls = squad they can't afford, not meeting their bills...fleecing fans in a desperate ploy to keep going...

That's not a dig at Bulls - that's history.

Salford learned nothing from theBull's demise.

Obsessed.

What would you have wanted ‘the game’ to do about Salfords stadium situation?

What did Sale do to Stockport County? Serious question btw I don’t know.
