Come on, not once in a generation... that's only 20 or 30 years... once in a lifetime!

Look, I am 32 - a Generation is a lifetime for me ok!

Ridiculous to even put him in the same conversation as those 3, though not surprising given who it was.

another personal dig on this site for no reason - cant we get posters like dkw at least suspended from posting? am sure there was a warning thread from John about this conduct not that long ago - my opinion on Joey Manu does not warrant personal snide attacks from other posters - for what its worth thought he was prob the MOM  today for the roosters in a match where a lot of so called "top stars" failed to shine although Klines whistle was killing the game

I think he’s a fantastic talent , one of the best in the world and it’s a crying shame he’s chosen obscurity , hopefully it’s for a short period . I hope he enjoys the payday

apart from anything else he should be the spearhead of the kiwi national side in a period of dominance over the kangaroos which was so evident as they crushed them in the autumn

I don't think anyone is questioning him being talented, just the hyperbole around him being a generational talent.

He is a loss to his club and possibly national team, not really the sport, no player is ever big enough for that in my opinion.

If talents like Jonathan Davies , Ellery Hanley, Darren Lockyer and Joey Manu only come around once in a lifetime and I have seen them all play.

I have to ask, and be honest, am I immortal... am I Highlander?

I’ve seen them all as well we can’t both be highlander. There can be only one. Now are you highlander or Kurgan.

The All Blacks don't select players playing outside of New Zealand (unless they are established internationals granted a sabbatical).

Manu signs to play Union in Japan and sees his All Blacks dream 'slipping away'.

There is some nonsense written.

He wants a bucket load of cash. If that's his decision then fair enough, I do my job for the money, not the passion.

I don’t know if he’s drifting away already because for a brilliant player his form hasn’t consistently been what it was . He needs a big game at the weekend

I think Manu meant to say he isn't interested in the money on offer in Super Rugby.

He is interested in the more money on offer in Japan. Fair enough.
