Yes, I was watching last night's game...

Can't give a penalty try and 10 minutes. The sin bin is for denying the try with a professional foul. You can't give 10 minutes if the try is given.

With every match being shown live on some platform or other, we have to accept a few commentators who can call a game with a reasonable amount of competence but who still need to up their game.

At least until better candidates appear for an opportunity that hasn't existed before.

He's not awful. He's just not great. Then again, he's not calling absolutely everything like a radio commentator would, which I know enrages certain TRL members.

I'm sure he's capable of getting a bit more natural and showing his personality with more experience. In a way, we all are just beginning to adapt to a whole new media landscape.
