Keighley Cougars

Recommended Posts

Well I know we are all a bit down in the dumps at the moment but I thought someone needs to start the thread for tomorrows gameĀ šŸ™‚

Going to be another tough game but I honestly think if we can replicate the first half against Oldham for the full 80 minutes we may just get something out of the game.

The biggest thing for me last week until the referee decided to go back to his usual showing was that our discipline was top notch and by not giving away stupid penalties Oldham did not get any cheap yards and had to work hard for all their gains.

Hopefully our new recruits can hit the ground running and Brennan who had a good dig last week will be even better for having a week of training with the lads.

Notice Jordan is back in the squad so fingers crossed he is fit enough to play.

Do not forget it is a 2pm Kickoff !!!

As long as the lads have a good go like last week that will do me ,Ā  we've had 2 tough fixtures one after the other, positive signs from last week so hopefully we can sneak a win, UTT šŸ”µ āšŖĀ

Absolutely. I think most can accept a loss if we know the team has applied themselves like we know they can. Same effort, commitment as last week and you never know

I think they might struggle to back up last weeks efforts and fancy keighley to have too much for us. Cougars by 20 odd points but just hope we can keep possesion and have a good dig. Ā

as a oldham supporter you played very well in the first half against us.

if you play the same way against keighley and hold them till half time you can beat them.

they faded badly against us,and they only scored 6 points against cornwall in the second half.

against rochdale who scored 28 points against them in the second half and only lost to them by a interception try in the last few minutes.

I thought we played pretty decently last week, with Budsy back in the squad this could mean Zarrin having to give up full back which is harsh on him after his performance last week. Lets hope muzza gets him more involved which ever position he plays.

We weren't too far off Oldham last week, so lets hope we can get this run of losses ended and bag a win. UTT

The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but thats the way to bet!

I'd like to see Zarrin keep the fullback spot and put Budsy in the centre with Chris that could be a good combination and stiffen up the defense.

Jordan should be at fullback whenever he's fit, he was absolutely wasted with the failed experiment of sammut at fb. Keep your best players in there best positionĀ

I would play Jordan fullback but to be fair that experiment failed because Sammut had an absolute shocker on the day.

I would however be happy for Jordan to play anywhere from 1-5 and he would still be one of our better performers, in fact he could even probably play in the halves like he did a few times for Haven and in his amateur days.

Well the half back role might be a good shout as none of the 4 who have played there this year have really stepped upĀ

I still can remember the Oldham must win game at the Reds ground a few years back when Veivers decided to move Sammutt to full back , it was an absolute disaster that day as well .

Looking at today's team we have no excuses, that's as strong as a side as we've had in weeks. We need to be pushing them close at leastĀ

Well can always rely on town to make you look clueless šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ 2 sets in there line, walker makes a terrible decision. 2 mins later cougars wander in for a try.Ā

Please please someone explain why he thinks matty Henson is a loose forward, and we used to complain about Alex on the wing, compared to Tommy brierley he looks like Martin offiah.Ā

Watching Henson run it in like a 2nd rower is just utterly insane, what's the point in having one of the best players from acting half used as a bash up player l.
