At least the rules are being applied consistently with the shoulder to the face. My only real observation with that Fitzgibbon is he’s a bit lucky as it is highly debatable Ritson was falling at the time of contact.

I hate the surrender call, seems to be overused. Not sure what Wires FB did on his kick return to have surrendered in the tackle.

In Canadian football if you do it in the in zone it's 1 point to the opposition.

It's a massive inzone:)

Why is it?

Because it is one of the many jobs a referee has to do during a game?

It's kinda what they get paid for.

I was more referring to referees calling a surrender tackle when the attacker didn't seem to do anything to surrender.

I understamd if some players flop to their front to make sure they can try and get a quicker PTB, so the ref' calls it as a surrender tackle.

That was close from Warrington, just needed a bit more weight on that kick and it may have been a try.

Why was one of the commentators insinuating that Drinkwater is staying down for a review before he has even seen the incident?

So poor.

Lees really is just a bit of a tool isn't he?

Although I assume Burgess is raging with Drinkwater.

It's not. It's their job to issue the punishment for foul play. Why should he step into Lees' path to stop him running in?

Probably because I have seen wet rich tea biscuits tougher than Drinkwater there…

I actually also don't agree with a yellow for that one, after seeing the replay. I didn't see more "flexation?" in the neck, Les didn't hit him that hard, but it was late.

Good post. Lees is a moron. I’ll refrain from talking about Drinkwater since I have just mentioned it in the previous post.

Wire with the ball are looking fragmented at the moment.

But like our defence and ball handling… 😱

Still unprofessional to insinuate it before he even watched the replay of the incident.

I saw you edit your post to add handling just as you dropped it again 🤣
