Addy too, so that's four of our regular middles. Arnold has a knock but my guess is that Fordy wants to keep some of our "senior" middles as fresh as possible at this stage of the season - perhaps we will see them against Huddersfield?

He said in club house that he know what type of players addy, akauola and king are so he using these two first preseason games as a opportunity for others to earn a spot in team

and we have some injuries in

Arnold had hamstring injury

day elbow injury

gale broke 3 ribs against Bradford in last game of last season leading to him still recovering

The game and kick off time was announced on 13th December and hasn't been changed since.

That said, I think it's fair to say that our website is rather lacking in information in some aspects - the full season schedule still isn't up there and the "team" list is still last year's.

i think the team will appe

I don’t want to be picky but dan Clarke is  a half back not second row and Louie walker is a fullback/half 👍

I don't regard that as picky. If someone knows better than me I welcome corrections!

Easy mistake to make Dan Clarke is a big boy and surely will have to go into a loose forward ball handling role in the near future. He’s the biggest half back I’ve seen since Jordan Abdull!!! Big King in commentary couldn’t believe it when he came on in the halves on Tuesday.

Just out of interest, was it definitely the last game at Odsal where Gaz injured his ribs, and not the earlier league game?

Reason I ask is he played right to the end in the play-off game but went off in the first half of the league game and didn't return, having looked to be injured in that area. I did wonder in the weeks after that league game if he was carrying an injury.

Gaz said at the open day that the injury he's got now had been troubling him the last few weeks of 2024 season and he was taking his time to get it right.

Thanks, that seems to confirm it then. I thought he was playing through an injury during the last few weeks (same with Minikin and one or two others too), these players are so tough.

I’m not sure to be honest I just know he broke 3 ribs and tried playing on pain killers but was still in pain as u could imagine

If you are anywhere near the middle it's not the game to be playing until your ribs have healed.Still a bit tender for a few weeks after.I did my ankle ligaments and could never get right.Coach used to go mad at all the strapping i had to use to support it.

You could say that about any time. For instance Leeds are at home to Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday lunchtime and given a lot of Fev fans also follow Leeds you could argue that would impact the attendance. And in 2025 people work on Sundays too.

Do you know why the game is being played on the Saturday? I don't, which is why I wouldn't call it a stupid decision - there may be a very good reason for it. I don't disgree that Saturdays in general will probably produce smaller crowds than Sundays, but it's hard to have a balanced view on individual decisions without knowing the reasons.

Maybe the fact that Dewsbury are getting the gate money was something to do with it?

Why on earth would that make a difference? Fans will turn up or not despite time/ day if they want to,hopefully Dewsbury will come in their usual 1000's lol. ( sorry couldn't resist it 😉). Hopefully Rams fans do come if moneys for their club.

Game abandoned at HT 22-0 ,floodlight failure.

I understand it's a power cut in the wider area, rather than specific to the ground.

Club will tag onto the wider area issue! But regardless those floodlights need sorting and have done for a while now.

Northern Powergrid were showing an outage for the ground's postcode.

From the video footage from last week, they seem improved but still poor. That said, if they meet standards and don't improve IMG scores, why prioritise over those things that can help the club progress for now. It's not as if they're user regularly through much of the season.

Although i criticised the day and kick off time it is sheer bad luck that the game could not be completed .These things happen from time to time.I would hope that some of the bigger SL clubs could have a back up generator to overcome power issues.

The problem is not so much about the IMG scores but more the very poor viewing for spectators. It could help if the lights were better aligned. That could be a big improvement at a fraction of the cost of new lights.

I meant that the choice of kick-off times might be less influenced by the financial benefits to the club. I know that many Rams fans weren't inclined to attend mainly due to the timing, however.
