Joking apart... she is a decent referee! Also as many on here have written before wanting ex players to become referees... she is an ex player having played for Saint and England at hooker.

Hard to see a win if I’m honest but fingers crossed I’m wrong. 🤞

Hopefully will have Jack Briggs back and Matt Garside must be near fitness now?

Hopefully Jack Briggs will pass his head test this week. When Garside was interviewed before the North Wales game I’m sure he said he was hoping to be back for the Swinton game.

I'm taking some programmes to this game that I no longer want. They are from Dewsbury Celtic and Thornhill Trojans (Think I gave all the Dewsbury Moor ones away?) but mostly Shaw cross Sharks. I will put them on a table in the downstairs bar. If anybody is interested just go in there and take what you want.

This will be a big test. Shame that Sam Day and Jack Briggs are missing but hopefully Garside is back.

Could go either way, think it will be close.

We need to be smarter and have better game management as well as improved discipline. Swinton are a decent team and we don't have a great record at their place. A win would be nice but I would need to be very optimistic to forecast one.

Swinton 24 - 16 Rams

FTS: Hookem

MoM: McShane

Att: will we ever know? 635

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

I think our lack of discipline at crucial moments will raise its ugly head again, resulting in defensive errors and probably cost us in this fixture. I just don’t think we are good enough on arrack either.

Swinton 30-12 Dewsbury

FTS: Copland

MoM: Craig McShane

Att: 788

Legs, Dews, Legs.

And no Brierley, Garside or Caelum Jordan to go with Day and Briggs missing. And presumably Sykes left out.

Didn’t see that one coming but an excellent performance, committed and strong in defence (at one point holding out for 18 tackles) and Fergie had a stormer, setting up two tries from hard running. Discipline still needs attention and Swinton were a bit unlucky with their chip and chase tactic which could have yielded two more tries than the one they did score; but overall we were the better side and deserved to win. Referee Ms Jones also had a good game too. Not so sure about the chips though…

Didn't see that coming.  Must have improved since North Wales.   Well played Lads...

Maybe I should keep staying away, therefore guaranteeing us a win....

I couldn’t agree more, it just as I saw it, except the final sentence, for which I could not comment. In addition, I would suggest that Hookem had his best game for us and just hope our injuries are not too severe, especially those to Louie Walker and Fergie.

Thought the ref had a spot on game and had zero influence on the result either way ..... Which is just how it should be - and mostly is TBF.

For Rams, I thought Dec Tomlinson was immense, C. McShane outstanding, Ferguson and Collinsonn both tireless grafters and Joe Summers has shown massive improvement in the last two games..... Great defence with a number of last-gasp tackles where Swinton looked certain scorers, but overall a sense that this is becoming a "Team" in every sense of the word, and one full of players showing pride in the Red, Amber and Black. Looking forward to what should be a cracker of a game next Sunday 🇩🇪🇩🇪

And with 5 first choice players missing

A very satisfactory team performance and only a curmudgeon could criticise. So, we still need to improve discipline with one player at least needing to learn that you don't get away with things at this level as you might in the amateurs coupled with a simply stupid sin-binning that put the other 12 under real pressure at the start of the 2nd half.

The tackling was mostly excellent with the line defence being very good. The spirit shown by the team was really pleasing to behold, epitomised by bouncing back from truly heroic defence of the line to sweep downfield in three moves followed by the try under the posts.

Given that Keighley are currently propping up the table it must give us pause to consider that we could actually win next weeks as well, but let's not get too giddy. All the Rams fans there today enjoyed themselves, for once.  😎

Keighley made a big 2nd half comeback and only just lost, so maybe not get too carried away....

Bet they were coming down the slope second half

No slope and on a smaller pitch

Keighley will get a win one weekend

Let's not make it next week

Well played the boys
