Youโ€™d want the Elephant, Rhino and Hippo as front row in your pack. Probably Lion, Tiger, Buffalo as second rowers. ย Maybe Gorilla at hooker.

Canโ€™t decide whether I want Chimpanzee and those monkeys from Gibraltar that nick peopleโ€™s sunglasses to mix things up in the halves.

Cheetah and Greyhound on the wings. ย Centres and Loose Forward Iโ€™m not sure about but Flipper the Dolphin at fullback to jump and diffuse the high ball.

This is niche! ย Iโ€™d have a Cheetah on the wing and a Leopard at centre though.ย

Hardaker and Charnley then just swapped?

Got to have a Mouse at dummy half/hooker to catch out those retreating big guys in the middles - Elephants, Rhinos and Hippos.

A Salmon at full back to leap over the opposition on the kick return, with Greyhounds on the wings to outpace the cover, unless the opposition put a Hare in there to negate them.

A big python at 6 to weave his way through a tired defensive line

With a cheeky little Chimpanzee at scrum half.

And aย  Sea lion at Loose as he's a good ball player!

The Barbary Macaques are the Gibraltarians. They'd certainly be good at stealing the ball! ๐Ÿ˜

Yeah this is the pretty much dealbreaker for playing rugby. Unlike football where you have plenty options for heading or kicking, RL is pretty much limited to the animals with opposable thumbs. Gorillas in the middle, then chimps and gibbons with maybe some of the quicker species of monkeys out wide

I can't believe no one has suggested geese. ๐Ÿค” *shrugs wings*ย

To be fair (having been on the receiving end of your Canadian cousins ๐Ÿคฃ) a pack of geese would smash one tackle then fly off honking like theyโ€™d won the whole game!

Noisy b$ggers too - refereeing them would be a right pain, like a whole team of Aidan Sezers
