I think every Widnes fan who hasn't got that shirt wants it. I always check ebay for it.

I've got that shirt safely tucked away in my drawer. wink.gif Never supported Widnes but that side (1988-1991) was, and still is, the most exciting teams I have ever seen.

BTW let me throw the Oldham "Boddingtons" red and white shirt (Circa 1990-91). It is the best strip bar none IMO. I think they wore it in the 1990 CCSF against Warrington. Any one got any piccies?

Thanks to the Widnes club I have a very close replica to the Widnes 1988-91 kit and I love it. Thanks to JHF I also have the Balmain Tigers kit which is pretty much the 2 I always wanted.

This is my favourite York shirt. I used to have one when I was about 8, I'd love to find one big enough to fit me now.

York City Knights - inaugural season. Navy Blue, with a white and pale-blue double vee.

Made by Kukri, and very stylish.

Thats probably the best Knights shirt. Although it was heavy cotton so it was bloody warm in summer!

A very special kit for me was from the first Hornets game I saw - all white, with the red and blue hoops across the chest (other, more knowledgeable Hornets fans will have to tell you the order of the hoops).

Narrow red, broad blue.
I have a Hornets Colts side photo from 1982 (ish) taken at the Athletic Grounds before a Colts cup-tie with Leeds with me in the back row wearing that shirt.

I think any of the clubs "old School" shirts are fantastic, the batley one from the early 90s for sure is up there.

My personal is hudderfield 1992, they had no shirt sponsor that season for some reason and the shirt was a retro one of Claret with thin gold hoops and a white collar. The only logo was that sublime XIII of the RFL and the club crest (pre SL of course)

Magnificent.

For me you just can't beat the old classics.

Huddersfield should wear the claret and gold hoops with a white collar, white shorts and claret and gold hooped socks. It's a design classic and no matter how much they try they'll never beat it.

The best ever England shirt (of any sport IMO):

Off the top of my head it would be the GB shirt from 2007. Striking but with enough on it to warrant my pennies. There are a few shirts I like this season, I really liked the Souths Heritage shirt, but will cost around £100 inc. delivery. I have my eye on the Quins away, Crusaders home, Hull FC home and St Helens away come season end if they are reduced enough. The Eels have nice shirts, St George-Illawarra and Cowboys too.

However I feel like £45-£55 is just too much for me at the moment, perhaps when I get to XL and below then I'll feel better about splashing the cash. sad.gif

If you ever see a tired looking man at Odsal in an old BN away shirt with Wang on the front, wearily explaining to a small child why we bothered making a nigh on 200 mile trip, then say hello. It's the last of a kind...
