James Delingpole just retweeted me. Feel dirty and violated. :(

I got a tweet from Matt Preston last night.

Single greatest moment of my life.

I tweeted that I saw Nicky Campbell in the street the other week and that he looked surprisingly old. Didn't use his username, but he must have been searching himself as he replied to me a few hours later.

I once got a retweet from Whispering Bob Harris. The cool thing is I was talking about a band and didn't mention him.

I like my new iPhone. Even better with the female Siri. :)

How. Have you got the yank version? You won't be liking the battery life.

Just change the Siri language to either US English or Australian English (settings>general>siri>language). Aussie English struggles a bit with the accent at times though. For some reason, Apple thinks that British people would prefer a male voice.

Battery life seems OK, the iOS 5.1 update makes huge improvements, as does turning off wifi, bluetooth and location stuff that I won't use except for rare times.

I have wifi and bluetooth on because I use them a lot. Location is only on for the camera and apps that need it. I get around 36 hours on a full charge with normal usage. Luckily I have numerous charging stations at home, work and in the car. The missus had my old iPhone 4 and gets 48+ hours on a full charge.

It was the Hastings half-marathon today. Some reckon it's one of the toughest because the first 6 miles are uphill.

I don't know who won because I am working.

Americans drool at a male British voice, they probably assume Brits are similar.

I don't normally drink on a friday (last week was an exception these days), however due to me & the other half working for a cash-strapped NHS trust, all the Band 6's in Theatre, and Day Surgery (so me and her and 150 others) are having to reapply for their jobs again. Those failing will be re-banded to a 5, with subsequent wage loss. So the GF has gone to London, to a specialist Afro-Caribbean hair stylist to have her hair done for her interview on Monday, leaving me with our 3yo daughter, and a raging thirst.

Still, it's the weekend now, so I don't care anymore. Coca-Cola for me.....bleuerch, it's room temperature. :sad::blush::tongue:

Has found a sock puppet on this forum.

Might try and have fun before CKN and Jon notice...

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

I'm in a very silly mood today.

The train is half empty this morning and there's definitely an air of end-of-term amusement in the work emails I've seen already today. I think more than a few beers tonight are in order!

The silliness has gone to a new level and I've been fighting against laughing out loud at some of the silliness.

I just overheard one conversation between two peer managers:

Manager 1: (waffle, waffle, waffle)

Manager 2: It's easier if you do a handstand

Manager 1: (confused silence)... What's easier?

Manager 2: Talking out of your bum.

Manager 1: (open mouthed surprised look then he walked away)
