Ronnie James Dio, before he went heavy metal. A pretty good British Invasion-influenced pop song.

I've been listening to the new album by John Grant, Boy From Michigan. It's an 8/10 for me.

This one is much more melodic and accessible than his last album, which went a bit heavy on the weird electronic noodling he's partial to.

I've been listening to "Football's coming home". Not always through choice, but because someone, somewhere, seems to be playing it right now.

Just remember, there are many, many worse alternatives.

Bit of a travesty that the slightly-novelty Lazy Sunday was the track most people would recognise them for during that period.

Mind you, the album did spend 6 weeks at the top of the UK chart.

Si c'était trois fois rien
Trois fois rien entre nous
Evidemment
Ca ne fait pas beaucoup
Ce sont ces petits riens
Que j'ai mis bout à bout
Ces petits riens
Qui me venaient de vous
