Retained ... Released .... Recruited... Rumour and opinion!

This maybe contentious but he is the right type of player/ability for Dewsbury's level at this stage in his career. After the season you have had and your better players moving on your recruitment has to be better than the other teams at the bottom of the championship or you'll be relegated!

I agree with the second statement, if not the first. I'm not so sure how many "better" players we had this year though, fewer than last that's for sure.

Think its safe to say that Walshaw and Potts are two of the new signings for 2017,how many more new faces will we need to replace the ones leaving?

Really think we will be lucky to replace Grady and Farrell (when he's not a penalty machine) with the same or better quality.

Hopefully all will be revealed at tomorrow's fan forum.

Apart from Shane Grady, which of our better players are moving on?

On our part its just rumour and speculation....  the life blood of any forum!!  ...  in the absence of official announcements ( and I fully respect Marks positioning )  we fill the vacuum with what we hear in the bars , terraces and toilets!!!!  ... Actually rumour conjecture and opinion has always been an integral, and imo an enjoyable, component of being a fan !

Hoping all will be revealed tomorrow.... and we will see what was fact and what was indeed rumour !!

Grant is quality given the right service, If Farrell put his head down and play rugby will be pushing for a Super League team, even Groat without the penalties will be hard to replaced

Hopefully we might have a half back to replace Reynolds next season too.

I think Potts will be a perfectly adequate replacement for DG - unless Halifax broke him.

He was excellent for the 'dogs, and I was sorry to see him go.

How long ago was that though!

Thought Hallett was with with us now DD? Dews fans don't knock Alex Brown, he'll get through work with the ball and will get you tries but you nwe'd a strong tackling centre with him. Regarding his trips around the scene, some players just seem destined to be successful at one club, Batley has been Brownies'but no reason why you shouldn't get something out of him.

Expected to see a proper list from you guys seeing as it was supposed to be a meeting to give you those facts. You know, all retained men and signings, so we know what we're up against!! Waiting for news out of The Mount too.

Should have come Phil. Glen read out full list of all those signed. No mention of elusive Batley wingers.

At last nights forum GM and MS intimated that there were still ongoing negotiations with players, both internally and externally.... there was also confirmation of retentions and departures .... but not all the current squad were named!!

I am delighted with the signings of Stringer and Walshaw, but can't help feeling we are exposed at half back ... Speakman is solid at 9, but for me not a first choice 6 .. which really only leaves us with Kain and Glover as specialist halves!!  ( assuming Sykes plays at centre )

Half back is a weakness at most Championship clubs nowadays and I can't think of one that isn't a couple of injuries away from crisis. Reference was made to the fact that Wakefield have signed yet another half back - maybe DR might be beneficial after all?

Listening last night I would say that DR was an absolute must.

I quite like the 6 at Oldham ... I think his name is Palfrey ... he hasn't resigned for Oldham, does anyone know where he is going ??  Also Danny Nicklas, at York,   would have been worth a punt.

Plus they are both decent kickers... another area we may be exposed, only really have Sykes and Glover !

Played up at T'mount was OK dependable but not speedy. Good kicker. Think he would be squad player rather than regular.IMO.

WHERE DO YOU WANT ME TO SWIPE THIS?

Palfrey to Rochdale, Leatherbarrow replacing him at Oldham.

A bit of a comedown for Leatherbarrow that isn't it (I mean in money terms, not disrespecting Oldham)? Although he never hit the heights at the Mount I still think he is a decent player with a good future.
